Today Class we are going to learn about a subject that can very touchy especially when it breaks (a little humor before we begin).  Any questions?

(1) GLASS RECIPE-

   Ingredients -Sand,  Sodium Carbonite (Soda Ash) & Limestone (Calcium Carbonite,  & Metallic Compounds for color if so desire.

(A) Cook Ingredients at 3000 degrees for 3 days

(B) Rake out air bubbles without rake melting.

(C) Let  liquid glass flow on molten Tin

(D) Tin will still stay liquid as glass turns solid in colder temperature and will float on liquid tin which can be cut into sizes.

(2) DIFFERENT TYPES OF GLASS

(A) Bullet Proof Glass- sandwiches of layers of glass

(B) Car Glass- is cooled rapidly

(C) Stained glass has metallic compounds added to glass

(3) DISCOVERED

(A) Some glass naturally occurred near Volcanoes

(B) Ancient Egyptians- Made beads with it as recorded in 3500 BC.
