Harder to Forgive

Posted by Bruce - in Blog - No Comments

forgive

Sometimes it can be harder to forgive someone who has wronged a loved one then someone who has wronged you. When someone asks you personally to forgive them or acts in a way of that shows they are seeking you to bury the hatchet (not literally) you can see your heart mend. Yet when someone hurts another it might be more difficult or feel their remorse for such an action. Therefore it is possible for the individual who has been wronged to forgive such an act before you truly can.  Forgiving those that have hurt others can be a true act of mercy but might take more effort then one would think.

Doublehat

man of many hats

You’ve got the baseball game at 7PM but a formal dinner before how can you balance your hats; with a DOUBLEHAT of course.  A DOUBLEHAT would be the only 2 hat combination you can wear on your head all day. It allows you to go from casual to formal in the touch of a few buttons and switch back when those buttons are reversed.  It’s time that you’re ready for every occasion that pops up, it’s time for a DOUBLEHAT.

Temporary Suit

wearing a suit

If you’re not the type to put on a suit on a daily basis it’s amazing how this garment changes your perspective of yourself and the world. For once you put on your formal wear there is a bit more professionalism in the way you walk, talk and even act. That can make you a better, classier person or create an image that is not you.  If taken to far this attire can bring about an attitude that separates the suit people from the commoners. Therefore be careful who you meet in this formal attire for it brings out the best in most but the worst in others.

One in morning

one pill

For those that rely on my dose of wisdom or stupidity in the morning (depending on your perspective) to get through the day it looks as if one post will have to do for now. For starting tomorrow morning those wonderful children and teachers will be joining my traffic route and therefore it will be a lot longer (a lot) . With that added traffic means I’ll have less time to write these words to the world or at least the brilliant few that listen.  I might try to sneak in an extra post but that will probable be the exception not the rule. Therefore my words will have to be more concise and even more brilliant or dumb (depending on your perspective) as I continue to try to change the world one dose at a time.

Stand Up Comedian?

stand up

When I was c. 1o years old I was approached by an older gentlemen wait this doesn’t sound right. Let me start again this friend of mine offered me some candy and…. Okay I think you get the point they thought I was funny then and wanted me to do a comedy routine with him but I thought do I really want people to laugh at me? I’m starting to be a teenager and there already laughing at me without even making a joke do I really want this to continue (hey I’d get paid). The answer was NO!!

Yet as I get a bit older and maybe I’m getting a bit wiser of dumber (sometimes you forget things) I’m reconsidering my initial decision. Here is a chance for revenge where I can ridicule that entire audience and there paying me for it. I could say all the politically incorrect remarks I want and not be thrown out of a job. The more I think about it the more I feel it will feel like “dirty sex” where it’s fun while you’re doing it but you might have some regrets after. I guess it depends if they’ll give me a shower with my act. Anyway the next time you go to “Open Mike” night at your local comedy place I might just be there or at least I’ll be there in my mind.

Starbucks Pumpkin Spice   Starbuck Pumpin Spice 2

It’s just beginning to feel as if October is in the sky and the Pumpkin’s are falling everywhere.  The crazy thing is they’ll get me in this pumpkin mood and I’ll start trying a whole bunch of Pumpkin type items such as the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte which has as much Pumpkin in it as my Pumpkin Cologne.  I guess it’s the feel of the season that drags us in even it’s as real as Santa Clause (sorry little one’s). I can’t wait till Thanksgiving though to try Starbucks new Turkey Latte with my Turkey Cologne.

European Migrant Problem

European Migrant Problem

When you put your head in the sand (as many European leaders & U.S leaders have done) the sand gets kicked in your face. Instead of taking an active stand and supporting “Freedom Fighters”( in the beginning) who were trying to overthrow an evil regime in Syria Europe and the world ignored their plight and now the migrants have come to roost.
The scary thing about this migrant problem is we truly don’t know who is coming and therefore in between most honest hard working people might be many an ISIS terrorist. Therefore a system needs to be set up.

(1) Well regulated and stocked refugee camps need to be set so that those who are good people can move to friendly countries in an orderly basis. While those who have troubling records can be set back.

(2) Refugee Camps should also be places where the strong are taught how to defend their country and understand/ respect basic human freedoms that are given by G-D. Those who are trained should be sent back equipped to defend their homeland.

(3) Those that have terrorist links should be interrogated to provide additional information that can be used on the battlefield and if possible be trained as double agents to continually provide this information.

Wall Street Journal

In this weekend’s entry on the Wall Street Journal Weekend Edition I’m going to focus on new knowledge.  Sometimes we might read a newspaper to find facts that support our way of thinking  (I’m sure my mind was absorbing that information) but what did I actually learn?  Here are (below) are some new facts that I learned and hope will stay in my head at least till next weeks edition.

(1) A Robot Fish as thick as as human hair is  predicted to swim in our body destroying toxin and giving new insight to doctors on our bodily functions  in the near future

(2) Your body produces Melatonin based on the actual light that we see whether it be artificial or natural which helps us sleep at night and be awake during the day.

(3) Westerners & Israel citizens are voluntarily going over to help the Kurds in their battle against ISIS.

(4) Germany accounts for c. 40 % Asylum applicants from Syria across the EU.

(5) Wal Mart is investing in new training programs for it’s front line workers and increasing their pay.

National Book Festival

The National Book Festival  sponsored by the Library of Congress is playing host to over 175 authors including Buzz Aldrin (astronaut) Tom Brokaw (award-winning journalist) and Juan Felipe Herrera (poet Laurent) and I’m not there. If only I had planned my schedule a bit better, this weekend would be amazing for my brain, instead my highlight  is a wedding party. Yes I know the drinks and dancing will be fun but my mind will probably drift off to the book festival and this chapter that I missed in my life. G-D willing next year I’ll attend and I’ll start a new story for my life.
