I always hated being the recipient of the “Silent Treatment” but now I see that there is victory in the very act. For those that are receiving such treatment should realize (especially when they’re not wrong) that they are the with the power.  Those recipients control the actions of the silenter’s because when they enter the room the silenter may not speak.  This power enables the recipient to do as they please without worrying about a different reaction from the silenter.  Therefore it utilizes correctly and politely victory is eventually in the recipients hands.

   In only two words you can become rich “work harder”.  While those around you might want to take the short cut by coming in later or working less you will fill in that slot and see their wealth move into your pockets. For your extra work will be paid not only on your time card but on what you do while you’re there.  If you just filling in space of course that pay check increase will be empty but in six months if you truly show your distinct worth your reward will be just around the corner.  By working harder you will spend less of your monies on those expensive break habits (cigarette breaks, food breaks etc).  As you work harder you won’t have the time to worry about keeping up with the Joneses or Lopez’s and therefore more monies will stay in your pockets.  Here are a few other ways (below) that your work habits will surely pay off.

(1) Ask your boss for a project that will make the place you work for more productive and/or profitable.

(2) Sell through items and services that a customer might have forgotten while at your business.

(3) Be the first one to pick up a broom or throw out the garbage.

(4) Add a smile and gratitude to your work place environment.

Can I guarantee that in six months you will actually see your wages increase by… no but there is an inner wealth that will pay even more.  You will feel that self worth in what you accomplish that no dollar can replace and a few extra dollars on the side as well won’t hurt. So today become wealthier in your pockets and in your soul by committing to work harder.

It’s ends not once a month but after every sentence, that is unless you’re excited or unsure.  Yet it’s so final that you never get a chance to add to it once it’s placed at the “end”.  Maybe you thought of something wonderful and are ready to add that point when it’s forbidding round circle creates fear in your brain. Period why you must it be this way?  Why do you have to be the final word (or period).   If power corrupts then Period is the most corruptible it ends 90% (or so) of our sentences. It’s time that a movement is called to replace the period but until that movement starts I leave you with one final point .

What would you trade your very life for?  Many have sacrificed their life in defense of freedom and faith would you be such a person? If a loved one was in jeopardy would you step over that line to save them?  Would you be willing to sacrifice it all to see that your dream(s) come true?  These are just a few of the causes that would cause me to look toward  the (G-D willing) Golden Gate  and here (below) are two more reasons that come to mind.

(1) To save a stranger after some disaster (car wreck, earthquake etc)

(2) To thwart a terrorist attack.

A Mother’s Day Bruch For All

Montibello, NY- May 10th -10AM- Congregation Shaarey Israel is bringing back it’s special Mother’s Day Breakfast with wonderful breakfast dishes and the talented Billy Killoran performing many great songs from today and yesterday on his keyboard. This breakfast is only $8 a person and includes many of the traditional dishes such as bagels and cream cheese but also one of the most unique, tasty and healthy oatmeal dishes known in NY (while supplies last). “I’ve decided to bring my secret home recipe to the experts – Mother’s so that they can see a father can perform well in the kitchen as well’ said Bruce Weinfeld President of the Men’s Club. “We believe that it’s important to celebrate the important roll of woman in our society with a very special breakfast”, said Bob Leifer organizer of this breakfast.

INTERFAITH DIALOGUE -Asks why faith today and what will it be in the future?
Montibello, NY – June 3rd 7PM -Congregation Shaarey Israel is inviting top clergy to discuss what is the purpose of faith in today’s world and in the future? Dr Syed Ali of the Sufffern Mosque, Rabbi Reuven Stengal from Congregagation Shaarey Israel, and Steven Valvo have agreed to participate in this discussion . Bruce Weinfeld , President of the Men’s Club of Shaarey Israel will be moderating the discussion and will allow audience participation. “I believe that communications is essential to not only avoid conflicts between various people but also to find common ground that helps build trust, understanding and genorsity between faith communities” said Bruce Weinfeld founder of this interfaith gathering. Mr. Weinfeld hopes to continue such interfaith dialogues in the future so that an open door of communication continues within these communities. The public is invited to attend and participate in this discussion as well.
