I always hated being the recipient of the “Silent Treatment” but now I see that there is victory in the very act. For those that are receiving such treatment should realize (especially when they’re not wrong) that they are the with the power. Those recipients control the actions of the silenter’s because when they enter the room the silenter may not speak. This power enables the recipient to do as they please without worrying about a different reaction from the silenter. Therefore it utilizes correctly and politely victory is eventually in the recipients hands.
