When people get out of a passionate relationship the “Rebounder” comes in and saves the day …. week. These are the individuals that give this individual the confidence to move ahead with their life’s when an emotional breakup occurs. These people are from a “lower social status” then the individual they are dating or so it might seem. For the moment the “Rebounder” feels like a star but just like a substitute player is pulled to the sidelines after a “major player” comes back on the court.
I have played such a role to a beautiful sophisticated woman that at the time was out of my league, it hurt to be called back to the bench, but looking back I’m glad I’m glad I was put on the court. It gave me the confidence to know that I could shoot that layup when the time came and in so doing proved that I could earn my spot off the bench. It also demonstrated that sometimes playing for the majors isn’t all it’s cracked out to be because sometimes it’s best to play for fun instead of worrying about who was watching.
