It’s amazing how many times good people get together to perform a project only to see it fall apart because they start at the end.  These individuals come together on common ground but pull apart because the final vision might seem quite different. It is like arguing over who will live in each room of a house while the blueprint  isn’t even made.  I understand and appreciate that we have a right to voice our differences but first let’s see if their is a way we can even put down the first brick together. Sometimes when we start building up we can see that our differences may not be as big as we thought and if we do find out eventually that we can’t live together at least we built one house that we could share on different weekends.

SHE LIKES MYLEY

The Bucket List is supposed to contain all the “things you want to accomplish” before you G-D willing end up in a better place but how about the “things you want to avoid”? If you are going to create a bucket list you should also have the anti-bucket list or items that are strained out.  Here are a few items that I would add to the anti-bucket list (below). What would you add or subtract?

(1) Sitting it traffic -If I’m going to go I don’t want it in traffic at least let me be chauffeured around.

(2) Folk Music- Sorry but none of that music should be played near funeral time.

(3) Anything with Peanuts- I don’t even want to see a Jimmy Carter shirt.

(4) Miley Cyrus-I still haven’t gotten over the Hannah Montana days.

(5) Cold Showers- Make sure that hot water is running. G-D forbid I got it wrong I should plan for the heat.

It can be cold, rainy, hot, dark, or bright yet it will occur.  This moment allows you to reflect on the beauty of nature that is passing you by. Great ideas and thoughts are born there.   The excitement builds with those around you. It is the “Dog Walk”.

For those other dog lovers out there it truly is a special moment of the day. It is true that little disgusting gifts are left for us but the 10-15 minute break that we are forced to take (unless we want that gift in the house) let’s us truly enjoy a moment of solitude and peace, in a world that appears to be spinning out of control. At times we might regret it (below 20 degrees is a good example) but even through the snow, rain and cold it’s a moment we truly cherish in our life’s.

What happens after is just as important as what happened before.  When we experience extremely joyful events in our life whether it be having front row seats to that concert, watching our team win the biggest tournament of our life, having a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, that moment of…, how do we deal with the reality that comes next? Events that appear once in a lifetime may actually occur in the same life time but will they impact us as much? Here are a few ways (below) we can let those moments continue to inspire us.

(1) Reflect on the feeling when we are  feeling a bit sad.

(2) Shoot for different goals that may not hit the bulls eye but aren’t off the board.

(3) Thank G-D that you got to enjoy that event and appreciate the smaller moments in life.

(4) Try to help others experience that “wow” moment in their life’s.

(5) Go for a bigger goal and be excited with the journey even if it doesn’t end in the pot of goal.

It is one of  key ingredients to every play, sporting event, and/or business performance everyday.  If performed well none of the viewers will know it actually exists.   It is the backup plan!  A plan that needs to be thought of as carefully as if it was your original plan because in life nothing goes as planned.  If you have practiced this plan with your associates, when it’s put in effect you will cut through the unplanned problem like a running back cutting up the field.   So before you walk out that door onto the stage of life make sure your backup plan is as ready as if it was the steps you initial took.

In the future a pill will be designed just for you. It will be a pill that once you take you will never get off. The good news is that this pill is formulated so that you can get your maximum performance everyday and avoid illnesses that have hurt your ancestors in the past because this pill will be designed based on your specific DNA. If for example your DNA points to conditions such a high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity or  bipolar condition, etc this pill will give you the protection to avoid such conditions for the longest term possible.   The Ultimate Pill it’s just a matter of time.

While most economist will look to inflationary rate, FED policy, stock market index or a combination of the above I will look at Entrepreneurial  spirit. If those small tinkers in society feel good about taking every cent they’ve earned and a few cents of their families monies as well to invest in the American dream, then our economy can only rise. If on the other hand the pace of innovation slows to grind so will the dreams of so many including the workers who would stand besides such a startup. For it is those little and big tinkers that enable new products and services to come into our society, therein creating new jobs and opportunities in other industries as well. Whether it be the corner deli that sells a few more sandwiches or the dry cleaner who has a new suit to press, the entrepreneurial spirit is the key that truly starts our economic engine. Yesterday I witnessed that spirit first hand as I attended an Entrepreneurial meetup and NYC and if this wonderful vibe builds throughout the country and world we truly can be assured of economic strength for years to come.
