A little taste vs a big bite

huge portion

I usually enjoy beef ribs but this weekend something changed. The restaurant I attended brought out a huge portion and although initially I was delighted by the last bite I was disgusted with the food. I felt I should finish it because it’s a pity to waste but it became more of  a challenge then a desire. This appears to occur with most of our desires, the great initial feeling subsides as more and more is given.  That’s why I believe in a little taste rather then a big bite. This includes food, drinks, recreational activities or even projects in my house.  We can only enjoy so much at one time therefore space it out and the enjoyment will last a lifetime.
