Today I post the top 5 news/interest stories (below) that I’ve read in this weekends “Wall Street Journal Weekend Edition. These should be stories that had added something new information to my brain and hopefully yours  Do you agree with this list?

(1) Pakistan arrested 3 suspects who wounded Malala Yousafzai. 3 years after she was shot  trying to attend school with other young ladies.

(2) There appears to be a rebirth of “Hawkish  Democrats”  led by Senator Menendez of New Jersey.

(3) Schools that have individual autonomy have substantial stats to prove that they have performed better then those controlled by school boards.

(4) Private Jailers are finding avenues to make profits through preventing recidivism by offering programs such as drug counseling.

(5) A commentary in the business section described the benefits of monopolies vs competitive markets for those in the company and those that receive their products and/or services.
