Complainers and Fish.

complainers

WHICH LINE ARE YOU IN?

Some people have a knack for complaining. It appears to be almost reflexive because as soon as they open their mouth a complaint comes out.  They are so talented in this skill that they can complain without saying a word, by their facial expressions and or body language.  I wondered which came first the complaining or the egg?

Complainers are in a class by themselves because there are rich, poor, black, white, Jew and Gentile complainers to be found. Some complaints are necessary because they make changes needed in society while others are there to let off steam or displace anger on someone else.  Complaining can be an art form though when it actually leads to change not just the act of letting out dead air.

Yesterday I wish I had that ability as I stuffed down a hard Matzoh Ball and starting eating fish that tasted a day old.  I guess the waitress saw my inner complaint and asked me if I wanted a different dish, which I gladly accepted. It takes awhile for me to complain because I believe it usually brings your mood down and doesn’t really change anything. I’d rather clean the spill then complain about the spiller. Yet sometimes I wish I could complain more. Why should they be able to complain and not me?  I guess because generally I’m a happier person then those that complain or maybe it’s because I try to avoid conflicts.  Either way just like most characteristics balance is the key and the art of turning a complaint into action is what truly matters.
