It amazes me that so many “stars” in Hollywood keep making movies that promote the use of illegal drugs while they watch their own friends die (Cory Monteith, Lisa Robin Kelly etc) of these substances . Seth Rogan and Jonah Hill are just two examples of top named talent that continue to promote this despicable message. It is not only the death and permanent injury that these illegal substances do to the individual but the damage they do to a community whether it be gang violence or loss of a friend or family member. Just to make things clear I’ve seen plenty of movies with light references on drug use (Animal House, Hot Tub Time Machine etc) which I found hilarious but lately it appears that the “fun use of drugs” is the main topic of these movies. It’s almost as if these “artists” are so addicted to these substances that they have nothing else to say.
It is not only wrong to continue to promote these drugs in movies it also is becoming tedious to the point of becoming another “fart joke” where those without creative talent will go to try to get a quick laugh. It’s truly not funny. It’s a shame that such wonderful talented individuals like Seth Rogan and Jonah Hill will continue to go to the lowest denominator to get a laugh when they have so much more they can offer the world.
