Donald Trumps VP Newt Gingrich 7

Donald Trump Newt Gingrich

If Donald Trump picks Newt Gingrich as his Vice Presidential candidate he’ll have a candidate with plenty of experience but probably not many more votes.  The ticket would not have the diversity that would help bridge the gap with woman and or minorities. It might be a ticket that showed Donald Trump wants an experienced person with bold ideas that gets things done but would that be enough to win.  Newt Gingrich comes from a state that is predictable Republican so it doesn’t help the ticket in the crucial states they would need to turn to win such as Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Iowa. Furthermore the ticket would appear old and not draw the excitement that a younger candidate would. In conclusion this ticket would be a  7 out of 10 maybe adding a bit more seriousness to the Republican Presidential Candidate but not much more.

BETTER PICKS

Mia Love– Congresswoman from Utah  (9 1/2)  1/2 point off because she’s a bit young

Condoleeza Rice– Former Secretary of State- (9) 1 point off because of the Iraqi war affiliation

Joni Ernst– Senator from Iowa  (9 3/4) – 1/4 we may have one less Republican Senator if she runs

Susana Martinez-Governor of New Mexico   (9  7/8) – I hate to give a perfect 10 but this is a close to it as one could get now if Donald could swallow his pride.

Leading Fears

Humble leader humble leader 2

You didn’t actually look for this position but some how were pulled or pushed into it.  Maybe there was nobody with the talent or experience that could step ahead so you took the chance to lead and it’s more scary then you thought. For all of a sudden people who a moment ago just thought you were part of the gang now look to you to inspire them with your words and actions yet you haven’t changed from that previous moment or have you?  We could only imagine the emotions Moses would have felt when G-D chose him to lead the Jewish people out of Egypt. It is written that he was truly a humble man so how could he take such a decisive role.  Leadership must therefore come not only through personal strength but strength of character and values with a strong dash of humility. Understanding that this is a role you have been given/selected and yet you are still wearing the same suit as others, only to walk a few feet ahead but still knowing where you came from to get to these steps.

Perfecting both lives

Cruise ShipsBusy working

It’s taken me years but I think I can enjoy both lives without too much regret. I’m a workaholic when  it comes  to 8-5PM ish but I do enjoy my weekend,s yet vacation time is scary. For when I’m on vacation can I truly leave work behind and more importantly when I come back how many more arms will I have to grow just to catch up? I have feared that the laziness of being on vacation might enter my work life as well.    Today I find out  as my relaxed fun vacation time comes to an end and work begins again. G-D willing I’ve learned my lessons and realize  NYC can’t be conquered in a few hours but might take a bit more patience and even time. That I can go on a vacation without having the vacation take over me.  It’s time that I perfect both lives and therefore learn to enjoy life as a whole.

A Different World

bottle cap

There are two worlds we  can experience and still be conscious. The first world is similar to the opening of a bottle cap where we become part of the existing world around us and all the experiences related to it. The other is the closed bottle cap  where our lids to the outside world are shut and we experience our own vision from inside.  We  might see  flashes of lights or small patterns emerge that don’t occur in the open world. Both visions can help you relate to these separate worlds that exist even when we are just in  one.  Sometimes when  that bottle cap of our life is wide open it’s best to close  it for a moment and see  the calming images that pass by whether they be real or in our mind.

Complain or not

Posted by Bruce - in Blog, Philosophy - No Comments

silent or speak

To complain or not that is the question.  The shower for my cruise  was too hot but I assumed that this was  just the way it was so I waited 3 days before I said a word as if my thoughts could somehow fly to others.  When I spoke up they had told me this was a normal plumbing problem and fixed it 10 minutes. Yet when I started my  trip there were many who complained that they couldn’t get on a  special ride  and that they would never go on a cruise again because of this situation. I instead was calm and waited until I felt the moment was right and instead of complain implored these individuals for this opportunity. The next day I was on the ride with the same individuals who vociferously complained about the situation in the 1st place. The point is there is a balance, don’t accept things as they are but ask politely and as Teddy Roosevelt would say have a big stick in case the answer is negative.

Brexit Leave -WINS

Brexit Leave 1 Brexit Leave 2

Today we are poorer but tomorrow the wealth will come our way, as the English people voted to leave the European Union/Brexit.  Yes the stock markets will fall but their fall will help cleanse the market so that the next rally will be closer to “reality” not based on propping countries, companies and currencies up.  See a strange thing has occurred to the government elites, the people have decided they want their country back and with that responsibility starts at the grass roots not in an Union they didn’t elect.  With this courageous move a revolution in world politics will slowly begin to occur where people from the ground up will decide their future and although there will be many bumps in the road the leave Brexit vote will insure that this road will be stronger and touch the people  then it ever was before.

Presidential Candidates Agree on one…

Donald Trump Hillary Clinton

Even though Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton might appear to be diametrical different there is one word they both agree not to use and to them it’s worse then any 4 letter word…”Sorry“.  For some reason this word by either candidate will bring more shame to them and their family then wiping clean a server or any off cuff / jacket remark.  Maybe they assume that the media will never forgive them if it comes out of their mouth but by not saying it worse words come out of from different parts of their body.  I’m sorry if this post appears to harsh but I want candidates who are strong but also humble and this using this one word more often would prove both points.

Democratic Sit In – Give them a bottle

Democratic Sit In

The House Democratic sit in reminds me of the days I used to hold my breathe until I got what I wanted the only difference is the media is supplying these babies Oxygen. For this sit in has nothing to do with any major action that would have stopped mass shootings but is a Sponge Bob Band-Aid (sorry Spongebob) put on to make them “feel better”.  While they pout and cry on the floor their employees (in many of their states) can’t protect themselves from terrorist and street thugs because of insane requirements from possessing a legal firearm.  Trust me those criminals and terrorists  who are ready to kill the innocent aren’t worried about the penalty they would receive from buying an illegal gun. How about this you give up your right to have armed body guards protect your every move and we’ll talk about restrictions on our rights.  Oh no I get the silent treatment how appropriate for a bunch of babies.

Gain Self Confidence with one word = FAITH

Self Confident

True long lasting self confidence comes from living the word “faith”.  For when someone understands that there is a higher purpose all the mistakes appear much smaller and can even being stepping stones to your giant leap.  You believe that there is more to what is occurring then you actually see or feel internally and where others might see a dead end a path of victory is just around the corner. Faith one word that can truly change your projector y and perspective.

Good Times -Angry Clock

Having fun 1 Having fun 2

It’s time we use the angry clock when having a great time. That clock which moves so slowly when we are fed up and angry at someone or something (such as waiting on endless lines) should be used in good times instead .  We could just reverse clocks and let the angry times move faster but the truth is our minds probably won’t let us.  So the next time you’re having fun  make sure you set your clock back an hour or two and watch time move a little slower when it truly should.
