I’m not sure what you thought of my selection so far for favorite songs but G-D willing this one is one you’re doing right now. I also hope you enjoy the rest of the song as well as it inspires you to do much more with the life you’ve been given.

It might be the new sound or for all I know could it exist. “Smash Rock” will combine the sound of crushing, crunching or just smashing items with vocals and whatever is left of instruments today. It is rock for those who lock the sound of actual rocks breaking things. “Smash Rock” will represent the destruction one feels in one’s life, the final verdict or noise in someone’s ears. Yet it will or is the sound of a new generation waiting to bang into your eardrums today.
PLEASE NOTE THE SOUNDS (BELOW) SHOULD ONLY BE LISTENED TO BASED ON THE CRUSHING NOT THE BACKGROUND MUSIC.
This song has a deeper meaning then most songs in this genre and yet is still truly entertaining. With a chorus that is strong enough to stay with you maybe past the grave.
Sorry it’s time for the other side of my favorites to be revealed again. “Famous Last Words” might just be the one song that let’s this side break out of it’s cage. Hard, loud and daring it’s a song that captures something deeper then the heart and has ripped it apart over and over again.
This song taught me sometimes the cream doesn’t rise to the top. For many of the greatest songs are hidden from the public ears or maybe they are just distracted by other noise. 1/2 A Mile Away showed me the greatest music can be found not to be far from where we are looking if ever we drove a bit further.

FOOTNOTE- Love the horns.
This song still is a hit with me even though others might not have heard it in the 1st place. It’s a classic hair metal song with it’s unique style that makes it stay there in my heart strings even after all these years.
I warn you this is the most eclectic list you will hear anywhere. From all genre’s of music to the various time periods as well my list will open anyone’s ears up and close a few. This song combined incredible vocals with instruments we hardly hear anymore and continues to bring the house down when closing any Frankie Valli and The Four Season Set. There is a close 2nd which will come up shortly as well.
This is the hardest topic I have to write about for times and moods can change your feelings about a song. Even this choice by Badflower wasn’t what I originally had in my mind (you’ll see the other one shortly…) but it had such an impact on me when it came out that I had to listen to their other songs. The lyrics and emotions are so raw they hit you like very few songs can. So here’s the 1st to come to mind many, many more to follow.
Here’s a quick escape (below) from all the Hurricane news that will take you to a better place at least for 3 minutes or so. Catchy lyrics with soft peaceful sound is something we all need for a few more minutes of our day.

Taylor Swift’s music appeared to be dying but this song (below) shows that she is ready for a rebirth that startles one from the grave. It shows the versatility of this star in tone, melody and lyrics that will have our fans coming back to life as well. Without turning to the Cyrus side she shows what real talent is and that’s good for her and us.
