If you’re into putting money where you’re politics are Kalshi is the APP for Y-O-U.  Sports bets are all fun but even if your favorite team wins it all how does that truly effect life around you and society as a whole?  That is why I’m putting my money where my politics are and betting all red this year.  I want the country and world to be great again and G-D forbid these picks don’t work out well let’s just this will be the least of our worries. Of course not every bet is critical such as whether Kamela or Trump will win the popular vote vs electoral college vote (didn’t bet on this) but some are crucial to the outcome such as who will Pennsylvania so bet with your heart and head. There are also insignificant bets like when the  Tesla Roadsters will be delivered or the review of The Witcher Season 4 which makes this app fun as well.     Kalshi gives you a variety of bets you won’t find anywhere else and some truly might just make a difference in your wallet and the country you live in.

Just another day, not exactly. For, as I drove to work I noticed the self driving cars around me but know one was inside. I went to get my coffee from the automated take out dispenser yet there was no line in front or behind me.   My cubicle in the corner was empty as usual but nobody else pressed the elevator up or down. Things appeared to continue to run but I was the only human running or even walking.  Then it dawned on me that my secure bunker lived up to it’s guarantee yet only securing things for M-E!

Math doesn’t always add up and that is great for my NY Mets at least last night. For Zack Wheeler had our number but his pitch count was too high for their manager’s calculus which set up a win for my beloved team. For, once he left the game the Mets came alive with a romp in the 8th inning. Math can be right but all wrong and let’s hope that the Phillies continue on this streak.

Even the incredible talented Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga couldn’t save the “Joker: Folie A Deux from this mish mash of a movie. Don’t get me wrong their are many brilliant scenes and incredible musical numbers but the combination into a film didn’t sit well with me.  Plus an ending that could have ended so much earlier got me wondering “why”? Why waste these incredible talents and moments with such a “blah”?

I meet you at your most intimate moments and am then tossed away until “you” decide to use me again. It makes no sense only that I feel trapped to get away. Yet for the moment you are truly naked with me and we are as close as one can be, then within a split second it all ends. I feel used and discarded but within a week or so I’m back in the same routine. What’s more disgusting is you will choose others to take my place right in front of me and I do nothing to stop it. Who or what the hell am I???

The Met’s were down 3-2 in the ninth and one swing of the bat suddenly changed my plans. For, I said to G-D just the swing or so before that if the Mets would somehow beat the Brewers then I would go to Shul a bit earlier today for the 2nd day of Rosh Hashanah. So now the time is a ticking and I’m heading to Shul. Let’s Go M-E-T-S !!

I want to wish you all a Happy Healthy New Year whether you are from my tribe or another. I ask for your forgiveness for any sins/errors I committed whether inadvertently or intentionally. For, I am a work in progress and G-D willing not retiring anytime soon. G-D willing this year will bring you all happiness, growth, success, health, peace and an extra spoon of honey in your life that you never saw coming.

How did “Hurricane Helene” become one of the most damaging hurricanes on record? I’m far from a meteorologist but this definitely wasn’t in the forecast. Those in the “know” say the stalled cold front caused it to speed up as it moved north. This hurricane came out of know where but left us with pain we will feel for years.  Yet the greatest impact doesn’t appear where the center of this hurricane hit?  You figured with all the years and knowledge of what has occurred in the “past” we would have some idea what to do in the present but it appears we’re still lost.  All we can do is pray to G-D to help those who have suffered such devastation and provide any assistance we can. For as much as we truly know it appears we’re still lost to a greater authority.

Tomorrow might be the beginning of a major economic disaster and it appears the media is just whispering when they should be shouting. A port strike in the northeast will certainly effect food shortages for staples such as bananas so why are few speaking? Maybe they believe it will be averted in the last minute so why “jump the port”. Yet everyday it would last it would cost our fragile economy 5 billion dollars and create economic havoc for many a household.  Here is something that can literally effect our entire nation but few are speaking why?

For those about to “Rock” see the Bleachers and Teddy Swims. For, these artists put on phenomenal performances at the Soundside Music Festival just last night. They had the enthusiasm and energy to bring the crowd to a piggy back ride and crawl to the ground well at least the Bleachers. While both performers performed their hearts out to the point that audience members had to be taken away for medical care. Life is too short not to let it all out and with the Bleachers and Teddy Swims nothing was left behind.
