Happy Mother’s Day to all the mom’s and those who have acted in such a role when this person was missing in a loved one’s life.  For mother’s are people who are willing to put their children above their needs/desires and although some are genetically born with this disposition others fill this role in one’s life. Whether it be to due death, illness, divorce or just uncaring sometimes an uncle, aunt or even father becomes more of a mom then one’s birth mother could be.   So Happy Mother”s Day to all those priviledged to have one seen since their first trip down the canal to those who have only found one when things became a bit dark. You are great individuals who we in society couldn’t do without.

Is fame fair or just a reality show?  Many would believe by the pictures that I’ve shown that I’m concluding it truly isn’t.  Yet for some reason these individuals caught a vibe with the public where others have tried and failed.  Their style doesn’t having me linking them on my Facebook page instead it has millions of others which is an acknowledgement in itself.  Let us not argue about who deserves it now for in time only those who can keep it are the ones with the true talent the world will notice.

Who would have thought I could learn so much from a cookie. Yet it wasn’t some ordinary Chocolate Chip but Pepperidge Farmhouse and before you dismiss this with a glass of Milk please read further.  The “Cookie Revelations” is once you’ve made a step up it’s harder to deal with a step down.  For it wasn’t long ago that Nantucket Dark Chocolate was enough for my taste buds but now the flavor sensation has gone away. Years before that period I could actually enjoy a  Linden’s version of this type of cookie and now just the wrapper turns me away.  It’s not easy lacking but maybe it’s best to never know then to fall down from where you’ve been before. For when you fall all the pieces just might crumble before you even take a bite.

I’m afraid not in the sense of a shower scene but scene’s in my life when I’m put in this role of leadership. It is not that I’m afraid to state my position and make decisions on business, political or family matters (sometimes the water drips) but when people look to me as some spiritual leader then my hair becomes wet.  For although I’m a spiritual person who continues to research the truth in various forms I’m scared that others might find this path too wet for them.  It’s a path that I pray G-D has chosen for me to walk but I’m not sure there is room for many others to walk down this line. I’m always open to the discussion and would love to have many walk with me as well but the dichotomy is I’m afraid that I’m not the right person to be at the head of the pack. There are many more brilliant scholars and greater oratators who others including I should follow. Fear might be just the lever to keep me looking and listening to them as well.

As Mother’s Day approaches I decided to write a few notes for my Dad just in case he feels a bit neglected during this holiday.   Here are a few thoughts and memories that now will be able to stay no matter where my mind might drifts tomorrow.

(1) FAMILY- There is no person I know who tries harder to keep the family together then my Dad. Whether it’s restaurant’s that I would never enter (further down) or trips that took our breath way Dad you have always found a way to make us have fun together.

(2) GENEROUS- When it comes to food Dad you have taught me the finer things in life even if I’m not that found of them. You have always been generous in too many other places in our families life too mention.

(3) ADVISE- Dad you always have an opinion that generally looks out for others above looking out for yourself.

(4) FUN- Nobody has taught me the importance of having a good time at parties other then some college buddies.  Maybe a bit too much fun Karen’s Bat Mitzvah and a drive down the hill in Amagansett.

(5) BUSINESS- Your skills are unmatched with those with the who graduated top of any class.

(6) HOUSTON BBQ- I didn’t know this was in your taste buds but it was delicious.

(7) LOYALITY- While many have turned their backs on others you have shown me what it means to be loyal and because of that so many are loyal to you.

(8) JERSEY BOYS- How could I forget those incredible seats to the greatest show ever!

(9) ALASKA-   Me and my wife wouldn’t have enjoyed the cruise of a lifetime if you wouldn’t have insisted I go with your financial & emotional support.

I was never a big fan of WWF (professional wrestling) or the President’s rallies but maybe I just needed to be tossed in the ring a bit more. For let’s face it if I didn’t have this sophisticated pretense they both would be a bit more fun. Yes sometimes they both appear a bit off their mark but why does every moment have to be pre-rehearsed instead of a bit more authentic. Don’t get me wrong I understand that professional wrestling is more like unprofessional acting (ok semi-profesional) but if I could just roll up my sleeves it would probably be a whole lot more fun.  If the President can say things off the cuff surely I can unbutton my cuffs as well. In professional wrestling it appears that someone is going to get hurt but it’s all just a game and maybe I should be looking at the Presidential Rallies with my new respected WWF glasses as well.

I’ve determined that the Yankees are vampires who suck the living blood out of my poor beloved Met’s everytime they get a spark. For just as the Met’s begin to win they eventually start to lose as the Yankees winning streak begins to take shape.  Somehow this evil team finds  a way  to suck the very bone marrow out of my beloved team till eventually I even have to think M-E-T-S = My Entire Team Sucked or more appropiately sucked dry.  Yet just your weight Yankee fans for we have a Vampire hunter in the AAA weighting to take a bite into your empire and he comes with a very special bow that knocks it out.  A Teebow for short that might just be the vampire slayer we Met’s fans have been waiting for.

Many will say the Bible/Torah is some old book that’s not relevant with our times but our stomach and eyes disagree. For this “old book” warns us today that our desire for more can make us less of a human. The Jewish people got sick of eating Manna everyday which I guess can get pretty boring and complained to the point of saying that at least when they were slaves they had better food options. G-D listened to their complaint and then dumped like a thousand episodes of 3 % with endless Popcorn on the side.  Yes we can’t always get what we want and sometimes that’s a pretty good thing especially when what we want will get us sick and just lazy.
