Jennifer Lawrence is one of my favorite actresses who has the ability to make me believe she is the character on the scene can  but can I continue to separate that person from the politics she brings?  For her recent accusations of the cause of “Hurricane Irma” are so preposterous and ill suited for the devastation that people are in the path of seeing that I won’t repeat them. All they do is split people up when they truly need to come together. So can I split those remarks from her when I see her perform or will they linger on not allowing me to escape into her talents she presents on the screen?  Will I and others with similar views/objections be bothered to contribute $’s to someone with such outlandish views or do we favor boycotting talent and or political speech which might be offensive?  Even though I won’t boycott Mrs. Lawrence for political speech must be free for all, it does hinder on what we see on the stage therefore maybe a pre-edit for those in the field should be considered in the future instead.

What happens if Hurricane Irma STOPS before it hits Florida and suddenly dies? Where will the meteorologist go to try and discover the why? Will they try to find some scientific rationale to explain what has occurred or would they admit they have no clue?  Would people around the world search for the one person who had that direct line to G-D to stop this devastation or would people turn back to their local faith groups?  I don’t have a clue but let’s pray that this mystery happens before Sunday.

We will give it all away the only choice is when?  Every part of our life will no longer be in our hands which will be given away in someway as well.  So the choice is do we want to consciously make the decision which can add to our number or have it pulled away from us over time?  You might feel as if you’re losing some material wealth now and part of yourself now but remember you can’t take it with you later.

I was told by my son that he dreamed I  had sold him to Islamic Terrorists and then had the nerve to ask him for a favor. This dream haunted him instead of made him laugh. It was so ridiculous because I don’t have any friends that are Islamic terrorist, I’m not a big fan of the slavery, the Islamic Terrorists would want to kill me first before I even started talking, and I love my son through and through. Which draws me to the point why don’t we laugh at the ridiculous dreams that come in our own heads? We often feel we can’t suspend our feeling of disbelief in a movie then why can’t we do it our own head and start laughing instead. Maybe it’s because the characters in our subconscious are much deeper then we see on the screen and we are the writers of this script. The Truth is it’s bad enough that we’re the only one’s sitting in this theater so why ridicule our own dream even if it is completely ridiculous.

As the last Jewish person in the world I run through the woods in fear as a man with a knife hunts me down. He pins me to the corner pulls a knife to my neck as he is just about to add to his  list when I awake in horror. This was a nightmare I had just before my teens and although I forget what I ate for dinner on Tuesday this nightmare still lingers. Here are two more of those memories that stay in my mind (below) although I can’t count the nightmares where individuals close to me appeared to die when my eyes were closed.

(1) It’s a family trip down a long bridge when suddenly the bridge cracks and we start to fall towards the water. I see myself drifting out of the car when I suddenly awake.

(2) I appear to be awake when suddenly thousands of bugs litter my floor. I throw down my blanket and run to my parents to rescue me and as I reappear in my room they are suddenly gone.

Let us all pray to G-D in our special way to have mercy on those in Florida and the east coast who appear to be on Hurricane Irma’s Path. This might not stop the wind and rain but will be guaranteed to lesson the damage it might cause.  For prayers to G-D work even if we may not fully feel the impact in our own life’s till much later on.  If worst comes to worse those in Florida and in Irma’s path will know we are taking the time to think about them before impact and that can help inspire them afterwards.

“IT” is a good horror movie in terms of fear effect but lacks the story and character development that leaves a viewer terrified.  Characters are two dimensional so it’s difficult to suspend your disbelief enough to have those feelings linger past the actual shock of a scene. The sound score and foley are creapy but that’s not enough to hold the “fear factor”. We also have difficulty understanding the actions of the characters because there motivational forces don’t seem to make any sense. “IT” leaves you thinking was that it or is something that was truly missing?

It appears that the book or movie are going no where but you continue to believe there must be some light at the end of the tunnel so you continuing reading/watching until all hope is lost. Where you draw your line determines how much time you will waste or whether you will truly get to the “good part” and whether it was really worth keeping it alive for this time.  You want to believe there is some hope after seeing a glimmer of hope on page 18. I regret not  killing the many books, movies and shows that I kept alive instead of giving them the proper burial hours or days before.  Time wasted that could have been spent on projects that at least had some heartbeat.  Yet if one project turns the corner isn’t it worth the time wasted on other projects for entertainment is something you truly don’t want to kill before it’s time. When the time is called is something every person must decide for themselves with some helpful advise from a critic.
