Dog’s Interest

Dogs Studying 1 Dogs Studying 2

If dogs could take electives in their studies what would they be and who would teach them? The teaching part might be a bit difficult for their attention span is say a bit like a 3 year old on a good day but here are the classes (below) I believe would be the hot picks.

(1) BONE- Among the key points would be where to find and keep your bone(s)

(2) SNIFFING 101 (beginner) & 102 (advanced). How to find those smells that stay in your mind all day long.

(3) HUMANS- What makes them tick and how to get and keep their attention?

(4) FOOD  & GARBAGE- How to turn your owners garbage into delicious snacks… for dogs?

(5) BEGGING-  What techniques truly get what you want including the stare, light scratch and when to use the sad bark?

Steve Colbert Rant …. Revenge

Steven Colbert

Steve Colbert went on a 10 minute rant against the President in such a belligerent way that I find it personally repulsive and the consequences should be …. nothing.  For unlike those who share a different political philosophy I truly don’t believe in censoring or boycotting voices I strongly disagree with. I will personally boycott his show but mainly because it’s past my bedtime and the verbal diarrhea he showcases is less then entertaining or original. CBS on the other hand should see who is writing his material and consider adding a writer or two who might have a different point of view for rather then being shocking or titillating his commentary is at this point just boring liberal speak.

Charity Overload

Junk Mail 1 Paper work 2

I’m overwhelmed with the amount of charities asking for my monies that I’m surrendering to the garbage. That’s right after years of feeling guilty about throwing out such charitable requests especially with the free offers name tags, birthday cards even calculators that it will all end tonight.  Even if I was Donald Trump I couldn’t afford to give to all these charities so it’s time for me to thin out the crowd and give to just a few and hope the rest of my fellow citizens will give to the rest.

They’re RIGHT

dog on grass 1 dog on grass 2

They’re right and I need to get a back scratchier.  Our four legged friends can teach us a great deal about enjoying the moment as well as how to avoid the chiropractor. They just know the exact spot to rub their back in and someday when I have the time (hopefully before I pass onto the other world) I’m going to follow in their paw prints.   They’re right and my back still hurts. Oh to be a dog or just think as one.

Trump Carrot & Stick

Donald Trump Thinking 2 Kim Jung Un

The President is using the political playbook of offering a carrot in one hand while wielding a stick in the other when dealing with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.  While President Trump talks tough and backs up his words with military preparations he offers an opening with Kim Jong Un even going so far as complimenting him and offering him a seat at a conversation table if he behaves better. This way the North Korean Leader can see some daylight if he backs away from his belligerent words and actions.   Trumps meeting with the President of the Philippines, who isn’t the greatest example of human rights, is another sign to Leader Kim that we might look the other way on his own dictatorial actions if he starts looking in our way.  It’s an opening in a simmering stew that might allow a little steam to come out as we seek to find a peaceful way out of this dangerous dilemma

Writers Guild Of America Strike Averted & Blog Writers

Writers Guild Strike 2

I can’t deny there was a certain part of my fingers and mind which wanted the Writers Guild to walk out because then I could walk in but the other part is happy to see such a strike was averted.  For writing with a pressured specific time line and within a specific topic might not be as fun as it would seem and those writers truly deserve the credit and rewards for the time they put into each project.  They are the wheels that helps the engine of film and television production get out of the starting gate for even the greatest acting, cinematography and special effects will fall apart if the script isn’t tight.  We may not desire the writing that goes into a specific project but we have the option to change the channel to see another writer when this occurs.  The Writers Guild Of America deserves the due for with out them escape would only be in our own heads.

Birthday Forgot Day

Celebrate 1 Celebrate 2

Birthday Forgot Day will be the one day you can celebrate with all your friends and family for all the birthday’s that happened to slip your mind.  This way everyone who was been forgotten will have a 2nd day. Local bars and restaurants will celebrate this holiday so you won’t have to celebrate alone this time.    It will occur the day of April 2nd so you won’t have to feel like a fool but remember the way you might have felt the  day before.   Of course Birthday Forgot Day could be a problem if people forget this day as well.

Memphis Meat- May just be GREAT!

Memphis Meats 2

Do you ever feel guilty about eating meat but still love the taste then Memphis Meat might just work for your mind and body. It not only saves an animal but helps the planet be more green because the meat is produced without the slaughter.   No more gas literally from our friendly cows will exhume into our atmosphere if this concept takes off. The concept is very exciting to me but can they reduce the cost to be equal or less then regular meat and how does it truly taste? In the end will people feel good about eating meat basically made in a factory vs one grown and slaughtered on our lands? I for one am willing to take a bite.

Memphis Meat- Incredible concept- Details

Jackson & Civil War-Donald Trump

Andrew Jackson  Donald Trump Thinking 2

Sometimes it takes a war monger to truly make peace and therefore Donald’s Trump statement that Andrew Jackson could have stopped the civil war is quite thought provoking.  Andrew Jackson was a slave owner but much has been written about that he was an ideal slave owner and had true compassion for their condition. So could a slave owner be one that could have peacefully ended the slave trade and slowly but surely started a movement to bring about their liberation in a way that could have prevented the abuses that continued 100 years after their freedom maybe so?  People are more likely to move to listen to those who understand “their lifestyle (as hideous as it was) then those who would impose their lifestyle on them.  That is why is South Africa a white leader of Apartheid was able to peaceful end such practice and might be why (G-D willing) a tough leader on North Korea might actually find a long term peaceful solution to this problem. We will never fully know whether Andrew Jackson would actually have moved in the right direction but it still is a question great minds should discuss so that we can continue to learn.

Met’s VS Nationals an NFL blowout

sad met fan 2

Today us Met’s fans will have to be hiding after their NFL blowout loss to the Washington Nationals get this 23-5.  That’s a score those in the NFL would consider a blowout where every touchdown is 7 points while baseball is 1 at least I thought it was until yesterday’s score card. No matter how bad you are losing at something I can’t imagine it being this bad.  Well today’s a new day for us Met’s fan’s and if we don’t lose by a touchdown and field goal we’ll be better off to bad it’s the wrong sport.
