Steve Harvey is working to make  this country great again, while the elected official of the people Congressman John Lewis has decided it’s best to play politics. Steve Harvey’s meeting with Donald Trump concerning how best to help the inner city was quite constructive at the same time Congressman Lewis saying that Donald Trump is an illegitmate President isn’t good for the country and his constituents.  Congressman Lewis words are illegitmate because of something called the “Constitution” which I believe as an elected official he should be reading. For the good of those constituents who pay his salary I hope that Congressman Lewis quickly changes his mind and works with the government he’s elected to serve.

Imagine doing your father an errand and it turning out to be the end of your freedom, with the direct help of your siblings. Would you want to reunite with that family even if years  later you were successful ?  This is the challenge Joseph felt after his father’s errand turned to slavery but eventually to prominence. Should he find out the whole story or accept the reality in his mind? I’ll let you read the rest of the story to find the answer but let’s just say it was a happy ending.  How many times  have we allowed  assumptions to determine our future without looking into the details?  Maybe our fears of finding the truth are more scarier then reality. Assumptions can take us to the cliff but if we decide to jump their might be a softer landing then we expect.

I hardly ever reminiscent maybe because painful memories hold a stronger bond or could it be that it makes me feel old but after 60 years of my parents marriage maybe I should look down this rail just once. Here are some of the good memories (below) I can pull out of the webs of my thoughts.

(1) BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT-  We went to see the best show with seats that matched Jersey Boys was that ticket.

(2) PAPER TRAIL- You made sure I didn’t get to wet with my first job and insured that the newspapers also stayed dry even if it ruined the mileage and brakes in your car.

(3) PRISON BREAK- I can never forget the help you provided me in getting me out of the slammer even if there was no reason for me being there.

(4) DINER, DINER, DINER- You made sure that I could memorize the menu by taking me there weekend after weekend!

(5) CULINARY PALATE  STILL DEVELOPING- I have gone to some of the finest restaurants in NY which my wallet and thoughts of it wouldn’t have allowed  me to walk through because of your influence.

(6) DISNEY WORLD- I had a great time even if I can’t remember going with you except when I look at pictures colored in Yellow.

(7) BRAVE WALK- When others feared we  walked  the caves in the ocean that brought us new discoveries and lots  of fun.

(8) FAMILY TRIPS- Our Christmas trips always will have a warm place in my heart and even a few sun burns.

(9) ADVISE & **WARNINGS** WARNINGS**- Although I may not have asked for it you have always  given me advise and warnings  that have been more helpful then I would want to admit.

(10) MACHO- How could I forget my first best friend who you brought in my life at the time when I needed an extra friend.

Nicole Kidman has showed that she has more class then most of her friends in Hollywierd by saying that we need to support Donald Trump.  It was a brave move when she knows that making such a public statement might hurt with an upcoming roles by that same crowd. Yet her statement will endear her to over 70 % of the American people who truly want to give this President that same chance, which should help her box office returns.  I for one will be looking for her name in the movies I plan to see  in the  coming year.
