Subway’s Free Sandwich

Subway’s free sandwich is a great marketing campaign that will produce long term revenue that offset the cost of the promotion . For many previous customers who haven’t gone to Subway in awhile will return and order that extra sandwich. It also comes out an auspicious time since “Chipotle” it’s main competitor is suffering from an E Coli scare The deal requires you to buy one sandwich of equal or greater value to get the free sandwich and by the time you add your soda’s and snacks to the meal Subway will be probably be ahead or close too it. Not only does this deal increase the amount that a regular customer might buy but also invites potentially new customers to the franchise as friends bring friends to the chain. To conclude giving a sandwich for free can work out to be more bread for the business in the long run.

On Election Day- The Greatest Job!

Imagine a dream job where you could receive a $174,000 base salary and only work 3 days a week or 137 days a year. This dream could become reality if the citizens hire you to be their representative. While those suckers are working day after day paying your salary you can bake in the sun and enjoy exciting trips around the world all on the tax payer $$’s. Best of all you have to do is join one side or the other and the monies will roll into your coffer to run for this dream position. It’s a position you can probably have for life unless you get caught with your hand and foot in the cookie jar. When you get tired of this exhausting work don’t worry you’ll receive a full pension and benefits for life. It’s never too late to join this elite club because change won’t appear anytime soon in these position because those that receive these benefits will be the ones voting for them.

Ohio will legalize Marijuana

Ohio will legalize weed today as the rest of the country will follow suit and the big mover will be large business who will spend enormous amounts of money in this pursuit. These businesses are concerned with the bottom line and weed adds much to the revenue stream even if it causes permanent harm to many of it’s users. The truth is it’s an individual choice and it’s best if it’s legalized/taxed but no make mistake pot harms one’s brain, as a consequence this day is not to be celebrated with lighting up but the ashes it brings to our society as a whole.

Death Penalty Yes and No

The death penalty needs to be enforced for those who commit the most heinous acts but only after we are confident of the individuals guilt through careful evaluation. Those who commit murder or violently rape individuals act as animals that need to be put down for the good of society as a whole. Yet we must insure that society isn’t acting in a mob motility and putting an innocent person to death. Here are the steps and facts that need to occur before the strictest of penalties is deemed necessary.

(1) Automatic Appeal– Death Penalty cases must have an automatic appeal to make sure no mistakes in evidence were left out and to make sure the case was performed justly.

(2) Eye Witnesses- There must be at least two eye witnesses that can prove the individual was at the scene of the crime.

(3) DNA Evidence– Adequate scientific DNA evidence must be found at the crime scene.

(4) Motive- A clear motive must be established for said crime.

A Huge Gamble

I can live happily ever after but I’m looking at walking off a cliff instead. For the financial success I’ve achieved would probably enable me to live “a normal decent life” until I’m all gray but I want more for my family and friends. Although I’m considering this step I want to make sure there is a net below so I’ll be able to recoup some of these expenses G-D forbid it should fall before I even walk this path. If successful though this venture should enable my children the opportunity to shoot for their stars even if their star must first reside in a can of soup initially. The research has already begun and the chips are being drawn. Will I take this leap only time and the facts will tell but if it occurs I’m all in.

Seriously injured or died

I could have been writing this blog from a hospital bed or in Heaven this morning if I didn’t catch myself at the last minute. I was getting out of the shower when a slippery towel loosened my grip, before suddenly catching myself as I saw the back of my head coming towards a hard porcelain floor. How many times has a last minute save truly saved your life? Times, where a sudden fall was either stopped in it’s track or where the landing fell just at the right place instead of the wrong spot only a few inches away. They say baseball is a game of inches but life can be that way as well. May G-D make sure those inches fall in your favor.

Rotten Tomatoes for Restaurant & Stores

“Rotten Tomatoes” services should expand into restaurants and stores so that potential customers can get a perspective before they enter the door. Just like “Rotten Tomatoes” movie reviews there would be a summary of expert and customer reviews with a rating by both as well as individual and critic reviews. Unlike the movie review service though if a serious complaint was made about a store or restaurant that business could ask for an independent review which would verify or discredit such a report. With “Rotten Tomatoes” service for these business “buyer beware” would at least have the information before they actually walked in.

World Series- Comeback or Collapse

The 2015 World Series could be summarized with two words “comeback” or “collapse” depending on your town. For the Kansas City Royals who lived “never say die” this was the series of comebacks which was finalized in Queens with their 7-2 victory over the Met’s last night, even as they held another lead going into the 9th inning. Maybe the Met’s should have changed the name of the town for this series because the Royals had our numbers even if it continually came at the last moment.

Met’s Win my win…. sort of

I would have loved to see the Met’s victorious last night but their loss does have some benefits for me (see below).

(1) I don’t feel bad that I didn’t go to the World Series game on Saturday.

(2) Tonight I can go to sleep at a normal time for if they win tonight they need two more wins to worry about and if they lose I’ll have tomorrow to cry about it.

(3) Met’s World Series clothes will go on sale.

(4) Tickets for the Met’s next season won’t be as expensive as if they win the big game.

(5) If they win the next 3 games it will be a historical victory that nobody would have expected. Lets go Met’s!!!!

Fall Slob

They say that cleanliness is what G-D wants but have those individuals lived through fall? There is no escaping the mess G-D has made not in a blasphemous way though. For this mess shows us the beauty of a changing season and gives us a chance to smell and crunch a leave or so. Of course in the end the leaves go back to the ground they come from (a bit faster if you have a rake or a gardener) but during that time they are with us I believe G-D wants to show us that sometimes a bit of a mess can be loads of fun and have it’s own beauty. Now clean up your room!
