Dreammobile

resting in bed

You’ve went out a bit too late, maybe had too much drink, or want to have a special trip with a loved one, then it’s time for the “DREAMMOBILE”. The “DREAMMOBILE” is a vehicle with a comfortable bed in the back and blackened windows so you can get some snooze time, or fun time, while your driver takes you to your designated location. We even bring another driver to take your other vehicle to that location as well. Sleep like a dog without worrying about driving like one.  Stop neglecting your sleep and/or fun time! Start it up with the “DREAMMOBILE” instead.

…. Dog not included.

Waiting, waiting, and waiting!

angrywaiting

I probably shouldn’t reveal this and hopefully this blog won’t go viral but if you want to push my buttons keep me waiting.  Thank G-D I found Kindle and my smart phone for a moment they delay my reaction but the longer I wait the more steam rises to my head and finally I just explode.   Patience is a virtue but one that I can’t wait to have.

Why Join?

friendly

Let’s say you’re not the “religious person” in the world a matter of fact you haven’t thought about your faith in who knows how long why would you join a Synagogue, Church, or Mosque?  The answer is simple the people who you meet there.  While not ever member of a faith-based institution will meet you with an open arms the majority will.  These are people who seek in someway to be closer to G-D and being kind/warm to others is usually in the prerequisite.  The majority of the people who belong to such institutions are usually some of the most caring and don’t seek much in return.  So maybe it’s time to take another look who knows maybe you’ll find a few new friends and your faith as well.

Stone’s Straw

Roger Stonedonald Trump 2

Everyone has their final Straw for Roger Stone it was Donald Trumps attack on Megyn  Kelly in first Republican Presidential Debate. Was it a move based on his values or was it a more calculated move based on his believes that a downfall on the Trump campaign would soon occur? Only time and Roger Stone’s new campaign position will be able to determine that truth.  Yet we can conclude that the blunt remarks of Mr. Trump turns off some people and adds new one. The balancing beam of the voters will determine if he can stay on the political stage or be forced off.

Valerie Bertinelli is still hot

Valerie Bertinelli

Valerie Bertinelli is still hot while cooking on her new Food Network show how could she not be.  I mean spending hours behind the hot lights and steaming vegetables can make a person melt like butter.   Will have to see if what she cooks up looks as good as she still does.

Favorites

dog 4

It is said that it is wrong to play favorites but if you have a dog (s) that is exactly what they do.  While people might try to avoid being so obvious it is clear when one dog favors one person over another.  What is annoying is that when their “special person” is away then the might choose you as their new favorite.  Playing favorites is fine if you’re the one chosen but when neglected it can hurt. Just remember dogs favorite can change in an instant (or for an instant) depending on who has the better snack and is sharing.

Basic Judaism – Doubt

doubt

“Basic Judaism” understands that you might be driving down the same highway but end up going a totally different path. We understand that a Rabbi and the wise books may not always be available to consult when driving past 55, yet we still want to make sure that we are on the right path. Here are several ways to make sure that path we travel on our “normal day” gets to where we should be going everyday.

(1) GREATEST GOOD/LEAST HARM SHORT & LONG TERM- Immediate gratifications can cause long term problems so think carefully about what you should do first.

(2)WORLD AROUND YOU- It is important to be informed about the “good book (Torah, Talmud) but also keep an eye on the world around you. For you can keep reading and not look up as you fall into a giant hole. G-D didn’t stop with the book and is involved in our life everyday, every place.

(3) FUN- A faithful life should be fun as well full of humor and happiness. Restrictions are meant to add to those good times. We may not go out on “Sabbath” so we can travel the world on Sunday.

(4) RESPECT/RITUAL- It is not enough to tolerate those that are more traditional but respect and understand where they come from.  Just because that path may not be ours doesn’t mean we don’t clean the path for our brothers & sisters.

(5) DOUBT AS WHOLE- Life might be bumpy at times but the smooth road is ahead. G-D has allowed those bumps so we can learn from them and make sure we steer away from them in our life’s journey.

2016 presidential candidates. 2

It’s only been a few hours and the eurphoria still keeps me going as if I slept for 10 hours instead of 4.  I know later on my eyes might start to close or my stomach might seek revenge but I’ll just whiff in the few moments of the excitement of the debate and I think I’ll get through it.  Only 38 days till I get my next fix.  Here a few quick  thoughts (below) that come to my mind the morning after.

(1) Even Donald Trump would have fired himself after last nights performance.

(2) Marco Rubio had an excellent night with clarity and depth in his answers.

(3) Ben Carson had the funniest line of the debates. You’ll have to watch it although it has to do with Siamese Twins and 1/2 of a brain.

(4) Best Fight belonged to Rand Paul and Chris Christie bring some boxing gloves next time.

(5) Ted Cruz has incredible oratory skills.

(6) John Kasich appears to be holding back on his John Boeher emotions.

(7) Scott Walker did fine and had one great zinger on Hillary.

(8)Mike Huckabee was very passionate and did a great job making Trump uncomfortable at the last moments of the debate.

(9)  Jed Bush said all the right words but didn’t have the passion that the other candidates had.

TOP 3 PERFORMANCES-  Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz,  Mike Huckabee/John Kasich (Tie but Kasich had home field advantage)
