I guess the question should be does this advance a discussion and/or how does someone express love? In terms of advancing the debate will this question make people look more deeply into the decisions and words the President say or cause them to become more defensive of him? This discussion itself has led to other accusations of racism on those that have even asked this question and as such has taken the topic from the President to the accuser. How would someone determine love anyway? As we know some people wear their feelings on their sleeve while others hide them deeply only to be revealed when it truly matters. What makes this even more complicated is some are more open with love for things like a team while don’t express their love for other things like country as well. Therefore I believe it’s best to believe that the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue truly loves this country but expresses it way too often in a way that harms it with poor decisions and words.
