The Purge is the first summer movie to spark my curiosity. In an America wracked by crime and overcrowded prisons, the government has sanctioned an annual 12-hour period in which any and all criminal activity-including murder-becomes legal. What would society and us as individuals be truly like if this actually occurred? Are we held together by the laws that govern us or are we following a moral code that is much higher then that? These are questions that I hope this movie explores and I’ll be watching to review how well they answer these questions. I’ll also review the movie to see if it’s truly entertaining as well.
How to leave?
How do you leave a party, get together, meeting and other social engagement? When you’re a bit on the “hyper” side this is a dilemma that you face on a daily basis. You don’t want to offend anyone but staying too long offends your sensibilities. I mean does anyone else have a life? Sorry I got a little carried away. Here are several techniques you can use.
1) BUSY EXCUSE- I’d love to stay but I forget to (1) Turn off the stove (2) Take a shower
2) SICK EXCUSE- I’d love to stay longer but… (1) My fish is sick (2) I have nasopharyngitis (sounds scary but is a common cold) (3) flatulism (another fart joke)
3) TIRED EXCUSE (1) Yawning in front of others demonstrates this “condition”
4)RUN OUT THE DOOR (1) Make sure you get away when they’re not looking, later claim you were kidnapped or Alien Abduction.
5) TELL THE TRUTH- Thank you for inviting me and I love you guys (gals too) but I”m just not in the partying mood tonight and so I’m going to head home
Wow! Awesome Trailer
