CNN Presidential Debates

CNN Presidential Debate 2 John Kasich

After watching the Presidential debate last night and sleeping on it I want to give you my good morning impression (below) before any political procrastinator puts things in our minds.

KASICH HANDS– I can’t wipe these images out of my mind it’s haunting me wherever I go. I understand using body language but I can’t listen to him without my hands moving all around now.

BUSH NO HANDS– He might have many of the same positions of Mr. Kasich but is the polar opposite when it comes to hand movement. A bit over rehearsed that fell apart in his concluding statement.

CARLY FIORINA’s FEMINIST REMARK- Woman don’t just talk but act. Her powerful red dress and her knowledge of the facts were impressive as well but she kept interrupting …again.

GANG UP ON RUBIO- Rubio took hits from all different sides from Paul as well as Cruz as incoming missiles landed but never had a big impact. Foreshadowing Cruz and Rubio will continue to battle each other on immigration and security throughout this political season and it will get nastier not nicer.

CRUZ / TRUMP BOND- Donald Trump wouldn’t take the bait and attack Ted Cruz a matter of fact he was quite the politician last night as caution was in his wind.

CHRISTIE OUTSIDER IN – Chris Christie tried to suggest he was outside the squabbling but inside the government to get things done and kept bringing up 911. I was also impressed that he ignored Paul’s rude comment on bridge gate.  Strong  orator but maybe too little to late

BEN CARSON NICE-  He’s a nice, smart, good person but I think he’s lacking the enthusiasm factor and is starting to fade.

PAUL’S SMALL BUT VOCAL SUPPORTERS-  You could tell his support was small because the crowd had to scream instead of clap when they supported his views. He came across petty and nasty though.

My Dog & ISIS

dog hiding 3

Don’t worry my dog isn’t trying to become a member he’s too smart for that.  Yet as I picked up my growling, snapping dog to take him for his walk (which he didn’t want to go for initially) I realized how ISIS acts like my dog.  At first the snapping and growling dog would actually create fear from these acts but when I proved I was the Alpha Dog, by not giving into his whim he slowly backed down. ISIS is small weak and puny compared to the military might of the United States and it’s allies around the world in this fight.  If we would stop worrying about being politically correct we could annihilate this evil in no time.  My little dog did go for a walk and actually enjoyed it (his tail was up) and the people of the Middle East will be grateful as well when we (G-D willing ) have the determination to defeat ISIS even if they have no tails to wave.

Dog reference is not meant to be offensive and if you are offended you don’t realize how much I love my dogs.

Empathy sucks but…

Frustrated

If only you could say the truth “This is …. (fill in your four letter word)” because not only can’t you fit in their shoes but you’re wearing Sneakers instead.  Empathy sucks but at the same time it’s what we all crave. How many relationships would have been saved if someone had just said “That’s terrible”?  Would many acts of violence be knocked down if people just took the time to listen to the words and understand where they were coming from (even in the North Pole)  instead of waiting for the punches?  That sales pitch would have worked, if only you empathized with the needs of the person you were trying to sell. Empathy is one of the most difficult traits to gain for it takes us off our own goals/time and makes us wait for the other yet when true can be the most comfortable sneaker to wear for the short and long term.

Trumps ban on Muslim- NOT AMERICAN CONSERVATIVISM

Whether you love Donald Trump you can’t legitimate say his temporary ban on Muslim travel fits American Conservative values.  For American Conservatives belief in the importance of the adherence to the principals of the U.S Constitution and one of the keys is freedom of religion. It is so important it’s the 1st amendment to the constitution.  Here is the exact section of that amendment that Donald’s proposal goes against “impeding the free exercise of religion”.  We can not say that the government can’t interfere with other rights such as the 2nd Amendment if we don’t respect the rights of the 1st amendment?   Therefore a ban even temporary on Muslims entering the country goes against the basic values of  American Conservatism and any supporter of such a proposal can’t claim they are part of the American Conservative movement.

Trump is the best….

I will actively support Donald Trump if he becomes the Republican nominee. Yet realize Trump is the best chance Hillary Clinton has in moving to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue of all her Republican opponents.  It’s not whether you like or even love Trump that should leave you down this thought pattern but common business knowledge.  People will not buy the product your selling if they feel offended (rightly or wrongly) by what you have said. Donald Trump has offended enough voters from different voting patterns around the country that won’t even look at the store no matter what he says later.  You have woman, Hispanics, Muslim and even disabled Americans that fit in that category of hurt by the Donald’s remarks. I understand that people should not be as easily offended but let’s face it they are and they live in the states the Republican’s need to win an election. These individuals won’t be voting for Hillary Clinton but against Donald Trump.  If you want to have a good show then Donald Trump is your man for the nomination but if you want to win I suggest you look more closely at his 13 other Republican opponents. For an election is not just about making a statement at the moment but making it last at the Oval office.

El Chapo Vs ISIS- The Good War

El Chapo VS ISIS

El Chapo (The Mexican Death Drug Kingpin) VS  ISIS  (Radical Islamic Terrorist) is a battle we should all want to come to a head. El Chapo is angry that ISIS is interfering with his drug supply root and I think he has a legitimate right to be angry. While ISIS will not permit this vile stuff to come into their community and they’ve got an excellent point. It’s time the take it to the battlefield. This should be a battle to the last man or woman is standing.   Both groups have plenty of innocent blood on their hands so let them inflict on each other instead. Let me get it started “El Chapo ISIS says you’re not man enough to come and fight them” and “ISIS he thinks you’re all talk”.  Let the battle begin for a war the good people of the world can enjoy.

Trumps remarks on Muslim Travel- Win or Lose

Donald Trumps remarks on temporarily banning Muslim travel to the United States will either put him over the top or throw him under the bus in this campaign cycle and it might have nothing to do with what he does next.  If G-D forbid another large scale terrorist attack occurs on our soil before the primaries roll in, it will be the Trump House. If on the other hand everything stays calm these words will have him seeking to build a new Trump building instead.  For although there is a great deal of emotional individuals that come out to vote on primary days there are more  of the G.O.P regular voters who will believe his remarks were too over the top to give him the nomination. The polls might have him ahead but who actually goes out an vote will have him behind.   If I’m wrong G-D willing let it be on the later point not my first point.

Muslim rise in discrimination?

Muslim Woman

No person should be discriminated against because of race religion or ethnicity but we must be weary when allegations of discrimination are made against those who have individuals attacking.  People of the Muslim faith in America should accept that a few are using their faith to commit heinous acts and that makes their fellow American’s a bit more apprehensive then they probably should be.

It’s up to them to not only express their disdain for such actions but invite dialogue between communities to avoid such discriminatory thoughts or actions. The majority of Muslims should discuss steps that they are taking to purge extreme elements from their communities and insure safety for their fellow citizens. We can’t be afraid of reporting what we see for fear of being called bigoted and at the same time we must be confident that all in our communities are working together to eliminate hate and violence from their communities. Discrimination is wrong and can be eliminated when everyone truly works together and feels this is actually occurring.

Trump-Muslim Shutdown- Too Far

Donald Trump’s statement calling for “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States” is way off the mark of what a Presidential Candidate should even suggest. Not only is it wrong but impossible to enforce. Of course we need tighter security for those entering the country and building a wall whether it be an actual structure or a technical detour is essential but telling 1 billion people that they aren’t invited into this country is something that is completely stupid. Here are just a few problems with his statement.

(1) UNCONSTITUTIONAL- I’m sure that the courts will over-rule this type of action as blatant discrimination against individuals because of their religion.

(2) UNJUST- Imagine an American Citizen who is Muslim trying to invite relatives from out of the country to  attend their child’s wedding or G-D forbid funeral and being denied access to this country.

(3)STUPID- Insulting a billion people ( 99 % who are good, peace loving people) is just dumb and will cause us problems with diplomacy. Can you imagine asking Jordan, Egypt or other predominately Muslim countries with help in defeating ISIS when we have defamed the entire Muslim faith?

(4) INEFFECTIVE- Terrorist will deny their faith or even convert temporally to enter the country and act out their despicable actions.  They will also have more supporters for such evil acts.

Still A Jerk

Teasing Adults

Even if you’ve grown up to be a success their are some that will still act towards you as if you were the child they picked on in the school yard. They will never accept their cruelty or your achievements and if you let they will bring you back to those dreadful childhood days. No matter how many toys you possess or how many steps you’ve taken these individuals can make you lose your grip and fall. It is therefore best that you seek success for your own satisfaction and of your loved ones,  realizing that it’s not what those few think but how you feel inside that truly counts.
