After swimming through a desert of poor Netflix choices I finally landed on one that provides plenty of good old fasion gangster blood.  Peaky Blinders is a British version of the G0dfather as if it was made into a series with some Beer instead.  Phenomenal acting just adds to the mix.  Finally my desert is not dry anymore and binge watching can begin again.

FOOTNOTE- I recommend subtitles for individuals such as me who have difficulty understanding a thick British accent.

**** – Episode 1  and…. well maybe I’m wrong with episode 2

I asked an expert on Taekwondo whether he would feel confident defending himself against a knife attack and he said that it all depended on the mindset of knowing he would have to continue the defense even though the offense has gotten in.  That is even if you get stabbed you must act like you’re not and fight just as strong.  This is the same determination one must take into any battle whether it be physical or even mental knowing that they won’t get away unscarred but still look forward. Many times we back out of fear and that is when the final blow comes against us but if we keep that philosophy in our head then there is nothing really to fear.  Our battles will leave marks but not scars that we will even look at.  It it the fear of pain mental or physical that stops us from our goals but if we can embrace that barrier and push through we might just open doors that appear locked to many looking in.

When it comes to blog writing I’ve been a bit too routine with 3 in the morning and two in the evening yet starting tomorrow that will all change… I think.  It’s hard for me to get out of a ritual maybe cause my faith has so many but this has nothing to do with any holy command just a fix I feel I’m in.  It’s also because three posts really delays the work day and with traffic about to build from the lovely teachers entering my route it’s time I became a bit more spontaneous instead. So this is the final 3 section morning blog posts I’ll be writing or maybe not for I’m just going to wing it…maybe.

While you’re off enjoying a nice day wherever we will be working to entertain you. We will keep smiling as you continue to return that dish even though you ordered it wrong in the 1st place.  Our smiles will push through as we  play that piece on the  piano we’ve  worked on day and night on only to see you pass it in the night.  We are the forgotten souls that work hour extend past normal Memorial, 4th & Labor Days.  While you have your day at the beach, pool or restaurant someone else will be making sure it’s safe, sound and fun… for Y-O-U.  It will be the time of YOUR life not necessarily ours as we clean up your celebration    Don’t worry though for  the holidays are coming to an end and then we will have our days to see your beautiful smiles as well.

This glass didn’t break even though it’s been up for many years maybe because it’s made of  Tiger.  Glass Tiger put on an incredible performance in their 1st trip back to the states last night in many years.  They had the energy, drive and love you would see in a group 1/2 their age.  This group played as if they were performing before Madison Square Garden although it was probably the size of their bathrooms instead not look or smell.  Truthfully I went to the concert in the first place because I found an  incredible bargain to see them and didn’t know much about their music or history but I left with the roar of the tiger inside me and it isn’t going to break

The main reason strong emotions are felt on both sides of the political equation is because Donald J Trump is a rebeL. From his business days where he proved you can fight city hall and win (go ice skating to see) to his Presidential unconventional style, where he doesn’t follow the blue print set out by his predecessors, he continues to revolt against “what is expected“.   This  brings him his accolades from his greatest supporters and is most disconcerning from his critics. Many have a plan you also should follow and when you step out of it their beyond shocked and even disgusted while others will support your rebel spirit. Of course we should judge ever individual act of “rebellion” from this President for what it accomplishes or detracts from society as a whole and not put ourselves in one camp but understanding how we feel about these acts as a whole will tell us more about how we will feel then what is actually done/said.

Those without faith only worry about being caught here and now while those with it must worry about eternity instead. For even if nobody else is looking the final judge is keeping score. G-D might change the scorecard based on acts that add points to your ledger but you still have to work to get bettter.  It’s why a true person of faith thinks about their actions at a higher level then those without.  For being forgiven isn’t just about yourself and maybe the victim but about the one who created it all.  Just something to contemplate as the Jewish High Holidays are just around the corner.
