The American White Male has been taking a beating over the past few years for contribiting to the many ills that has occurred in our history from slavery to the treatment of woman and although some were involved in the initial horrendous conditions many more were involved in changing those conditions even at the point of death. History should not be changed to suit the P.C. environment. For even if some were to blame many more should be praised.
(1) INDEPENDENCE- The Declaration Of Independence was written and signed by White American males who believed freedom wasn’t something given by Man but by G-D and their signature would lead to the gallows if victory didn’t come their way. It might not have been perfect start as we see below but it’s bell rung a movement that continues to be heard around the globe.
(2) SLAVERY- This evil practice was ended with the death of over 300,000 mostly White Union Male Solidiers who died trying to bring the union together as well as support the President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation ending slavery. Futhermore White Male American’s voted for the 13, 14, 15th Ammendment during this period to guarantee “basic human rights” for their African American brothers.
(3) WOMAN’S SUFFRAGE- Woman were only given the right to vote when White Male American’s voted to see that this injustice ended.
(4) CIVIL RIGHTS- White Male Americans from the Supreme Court down initiated changes to make our country more just for all Americans.
(5) HOLOCAUST LIBERATION- The majority of the solidiers that fought and died during WWII were White Male Americans although barriers existed for many others to play an active role. They were the one’s who liberated many of the death camps during the holocaust bringing hope to those of complete despair.
