You can try to take me around the world but I’d rather be in your arms or at least in my house. Don’t get me wrong I love a good car trip but I only want the round trip ticket with no stop overs. I know there is a whole world to explore but let someone else do the exploring my house suits me just fine.  So go ahead explore the world … on your T.V sets because home is where you dog is and wants to be.

Here is a theory that you won’t be seeing on MSNBC, CBS, ABC etc that might just explain the global freezing that is occurring today. This theory is based on actual Darwin’s theory taken on a world stage. For just as Darwin said that animals needed to evolve to adopt to the current condition to survive the world evolved to the impact of Carbon Dioxide emissions growing at a certain level each year. When man decided abruptly to interfere with this evolutionary state the globe wasn’t able to adopt to the change and therefore cold climates prevailed. If we continue down the path we are in conditions will continue to get colder until the earth itself evolves to deal with our change in habits.

I’m embarrassed to admit but in a sense I always wanted to “hang with the cool”.  Yes it’s been my desire for so long that the word “cool” was still in. Yet as if I’m a fine wine I’ve learned that some of the best tastes can be hidden from the outside world as my friends that weren’t the “coolest” are some of the most warmest.  They have the time, love and appreciation that many of my “cool friends” lack.  Maybe they don’t go to the most “chic party” or care what is “hot in town” but their warmth makes it feel as if they do.  I’m sure that this isn’t the case in all examples so it’s time to look past the bright image and see the character that they hold in their heart and soul instead.

The NFL kneeling controversy shows how undisciplined a sport that is based on discipline has actually begun. If the coaches can’t even get their players to start the game on the right foot then how can they perform at their best when the game is about to begin? Yes many will stay play well individually but if you can unite on the most basic call of standing for your country then how can you truly unite when a controversial call is pulled in by the couch or quarterback? The sport as a whole is now about “individual desires” rather then working as a cohesive unit.    So the kneeling controversy isn’t just about unpatriotic voices but an act that lessons the game as a whole and that is another reason people are staying home.

What possessed the 16 year old  Long Island boy on the right to kill his entire family is something we may never fully know but there are some facts we must look into to try and avoid such tragedies in the future.

(1) Should the local community into individuals who are “home schooled” with a bit more intensity?

(2) Would we consider legislation that would require a short video on gun safety be watched before purchasing a firearm and make sure such equipment is available at stores?

(3) Is mental health still to difficult for those who are most need of these services?

New Years Eve is not the same without Dick Clarke’s production of the event.  You can enjoy your own private party but if the countdown isn’t coming from Times Square it just doesn’t feel the same.  Yes, it’s true the party has some repeat performances from Mr. Ball to Mariah Carey but that’s what makes this tradition special you know precisely when you should pop the cork.  Even though Dick Clarke is not with us anymore somehow I feel he’s counting down with us and is proud that his name is still connected with the truly fun event that is still rock in.
