Yes I know I was the culprit but I never knew it would continue to linger. Drip by drip it took my heart continuing to get louder and louder as the world around me got quieter and quieter. Till all I could hear and feel through my bones was that pestering noise as if it was a Mosquito biting the same spot with nails across a chalkboard. My normal means to distance myself from the pounding wouldn’t work I had to try something, anything to stop that wretched noise. Just when it became so overpowering I shut it off and peace suddenly occurred. It will not end though for it is set to occur again in less the 24 hours but this time I’ll be ready…. I hope.
