Does this seem bizarre to you as well? They put up a picture of an ill person on Facebook and underneath the picture is “Like” button. Of course there might be some subtext about how this individual is fighting this sickness or problem but it still seems sorta mean to “Like It”. How about we add a new button but what would it say if we said “SUPPORT” then would we support them having the sickness or battling it? I have reconciled to just add a prayer under the person who is suffering and sharing these messages with others. I believe this way the message and hope can ring true.
