While you were getting your zzz’s I was getting up to suffer. Yes it’s my semi-annual dentist visit and I have the brains to make it at 6AM. You heard, well read it right I’m waking up at some crazy hour so I can zzz’s on my teeth. To make matters more insane I’m doing this so I don’t …ugh (yawn sound effect) so I don’t come late for work. After over 27 years at this business I still feel I should try to avoid coming late to this business at almost all sleep cost.  Maybe my craziness will pay $$ off so I can get a new pillow and go back to sleep.

The P.C. Police have destroyed another tradition that will break many a child an adult’s heart; the end of the Elephants at the Barnum and Bailey Circus occurs tonight. I understand that the Barnum and Bailey Circus has not always been kind to these beautiful creatures but by denying future generation an upfront view of a fun loving elephant, I fear that the public will not stand by their cause and Elephants in the wild will be slaughtered for their ivory at a precipitates rate.  Barnum and Bailey Circus must return the Elephant Act back but with greater care of these majestic creatures and as a whole the world will appreciate them and make sure their around for many future generations.

It is reported that the CIA Director now says that declassifying the 28 pages of the 911 report will give an inaccurate portrayal of the Saudi Arabian connection to 911 but at this point by not releasing these pages Saudi Arabian looks worse.  For most people assume the worse when theie government is doing so much to hide the truth. Therefore I say release these 28 pages and then feel free to comment about any inaccuracies that might be in such a report. For the cover-up is usually worse then the crime.

I’ve waited all week for this moment and now the quandary begins. For at work there is no stopping to think what to do next it just shoves it’s away in front of you then the weekend choices begin. If you make the wrong choice (bad movie, restaurant, waiting in line) you’ve wasted hours of those free moments. If that’s not troubling enough one little argument could have you wasting hours away from the fun you have planned. Then when you finally make your decision and everything seems just right someone comes with a better idea just as your free time ends. It’s not enough to drive you crazy or work another week to get it just wrong again.

It started with a bagel where it became a tradition in my head to have it every Sunday no matter what, to the point that in the wide open spaces of Wyoming I had to create one out of toast (it looked like one) .  I realized that rituals for no particular reason were taking over my life and I decided it was time for a rebellion. The bagels on Sunday were replaced by pancakes and can I say even eggs. Yet that wasn’t enough if a particular ritual didn’t help me in someway better myself or others it was thrown out the window. No longer was I glued to my weekly television shows or forced to watch even the Sunday Football game. If it was there and didn’t interrupt the other events then I would follow but if not a different unspoken path was taken. The rebellion continues today as I fight the mundane to do what I really want or at least search for it along the way.

Which May Day are you celebrating the angry bitter day bent on workers rage or the one dancing around some poll? I never heard about the pole dancing one (above) but pole dancing always appears more fun.   The outfits for pole dancing might appear a bit can we say old fashion but they appear to be having a good time so it’s time to get a pair of knickers (I think that’s what they call those pants).  I love to celebrate holidays even if they aren’t from my background such as wearing Green on St Patty’s Day with my Corned Beef Sandwich, or having some Mexican Food on Cinco De Mayo but until the Pole Dancing came along I found no way to celebrate May Day. For although I believe it’s important to protect workers rights this “holiday” is promoting governmental rights to control all.  May Day without the Pole celebrates a Utopia that turns into a Dystopia except for the few in power.  That is why this May Day my celebration includes a pole instead of a hammer.

“Life is too short not to take the time and smell the grass” at least that is what my dog is saying. There is a whole bouquet of aroma’s in that grass that we miss be not sniffing ourselves. Of course according to our four legged friends the aroma of feces and urine is delightful but there must be some other magic smell that has them putting their faces in this green substance. Maybe some king or queen walked the same spot we are on centuries ago or maybe it was the last spot “Bigfoot” actually put his foot down we may never know because of the language barrier. All I can say is I’m going to try to take a moment more and smell the grass as well (not the type you smoke).  Who knows maybe I’ll find that special spot to roll in it as well.
