I’m not the biggest supporter of Donald Trump but what occurred in Chicago makes me stand firmly on his side. For silencing those you disagree with is something you see in Cuba not in our country. If you don’t agree with a candidates position you should peacefully protest outside such a venue but it’s wrong to silence those who have come to listen by disrupting such an event. Political discourse must be maintained with civility for a democracy to truly be Democratic. I will be attending an event that Hillary Clinton will be speaking at and although I strongly disagree with her words and actions I will be respectful while she speaks. Those who believe by silencing such an event through rude and near violent protest have instead added timber to a fire that will only spread Donald Trump’s message to areas not usually ignited by his words. They may have done more to unite people behind Donald Trump then any speaking engagement would have done. As someone who has supported those running against Donald Trump thanks for nothing
