What to do and not when a loved one is having a mental health episode. Here are a few tips (below) based on my direct experience and education on this topic.

DO’S

1. THE TRUTH- The feelings you’re loved one(s) are going through are real even if it doesn’t match the truth on the ground
2. EMPATHIZE- You may not except their reality but understand the pain they are going through
3. I- Try to speak with the I not the word (below)
4. SPACE- Give you and them space.
5. VENT-  Allow them to vent
6. YOURSELF- If the oven is only getting you burnt go take care of your own mental health by going to a cooler spot
7. REALIZE- This is an illness and your loved one is suffering. Try then not to take it personally.
8. BOUNDARIES-  Quietly and calmly set your boundaries and hold on to them

DON’T

1. CALM DOWN- These two words will only get you burnt.
2. DOWNPLAY-   It truly doesn’t work. For in their mind this is everything to them.
3. YOU-  Try to hide that word from your mouth
4. BATTLE-  Trust me it’s not worth losing the war
5. SOLVE-  You can’t solve their emotional current so don’t get stuck in the storm

FOOTNOTE- Now to follow my own advise.

Every post I’ve written is still up no matter the good, bad or just stupid yet deletions do sometimes occur. Whether it’s an idea I forget to leave a note on or a note (today) which I accidentally deleted.  Maybe someday it will come back to M-E but even if it does will it still be relevant or understood in the same way it originally was conceived? I doubt this will occur which begs the question have some of the most significant posts never to be heard or were they one’s that should have been deleted from my mind in the first place?

Wonder is a wonderful restaurant and investment that I want to seek my teeth into. This is not just “one” restaurant but allows the consumer to choice between some of the finest restaurants under the sun at one location. It allows you to eat “Bobby Flay Steak” while your loved one eats Detroit Brick Oven Pizza”.  This way you all get the best of many different worlds. As an investor I’m looking not only to invest my capital but my ideas with the following notes (below) but as a consumer I’m ready to bite into today.

(1) Add famous “Vegan Type” restaurant

(2) Depending on the area add a Kosher/Hallel  option.

(3)  Be connected with Uber Eats or find a simple delivery plan to connect with.

Doing my job has put these bars around M-E!!  Let’s just say my pick up location wasn’t as innocent as it looked. Now I’m the getaway driver with a whole lot more then a tab in my car and I’m racing out of town with items I never meant to carry and/or deliver. It didn’t mean to change sides but Uber has picked that up for M-E!

They called Y-O-U!! How could they because I’m there….!!  Why would they even think of putting in the call instead of calling their own…. Well then their no good after all.  I just knew that was the case all along.  Don’t tell me what they did for M-E then as I’m empathizing a whole different path which concludes with they called Y-O-U!!!

I just might have found my perfect 20 %. Yes, eighty percent of your diet should be healthy but when one decides to cheat you should do so with “delicious” in your belly.  “Cracker Barrel” Chocolate Chip pancakes achieved that goal for M-E without the guilt your stomach feels later. For, those pancakes go down smooth and buttery with such lightness you might even be able to finish your plate.  They crack it open with that extra dose of butter that makes sure the flavor is enhanced with every bite.  Cracker Barrel Chocolate Chip Pancakes are the 20 % I actually feel good about now where are my carrots.

There are gyms and then there are GyM’S and EoS is the later. For this gym had everything from head to toe that one could imagine.  I truly enjoy the basic lift up, lift down with a bench press but I have to admit some of the newer computerized equipment was exhilarating. This was like an amusement park for your body with the amount of exciting equipment available. The only problem was the bench wasn’t a truly even lift with safety points making it more difficult to achieve my goals.  EoS gym and experience that deserves the GyM label.

For those who are not the biggest fan of 47 this could be a heavenly ticket as one can’t be President and Pope at the same. Yet many are aghast with this joke so let M-E expand on it.  I’m officially throwing my hat into the ring. Yes, Bud ReBel will humbly take the position of Pope. Think about the first Jewish married pope that would surely even beat the surprise ending of “The Conclave”.  I would really be a great Pope bringing these great religions together and truly being modest as I have no idea what my responsibilities would be. The only problem is I hate wearing white as it often stains.  So if Pope Trump doesn’t work for Y-O-U maybe Pope Bud hey it’s worth a try.

I just portrayed a firefighter in an upcoming movie and realized the character has images in my mirror and many others.  Although we don’t actually put out literally fires many a figurative keeps us burnt. We often do this work with nobody actually seeing the face behind the mask. The work we do can be taken for granted especially when it’s expected.  Everything can be calm and peaceful and we loop to believe it just might stay that way when suddenly the figurative fire consumes everything around us. The times in between are truly cherished as we never know when the alarm will go off. Then our plans are something G-D laughs at.   G-D willing the actually fire fighters and the one’s lingering in their mirrors return safely and find the recognition they truly deserve.
