I hit my “rock bottom” as a people pleaser. Suddenly the “mirror” blinded my eyes. For, I felt bad when I cut the order down that a salesperson was putting together. My mind worried at that moment that he would be mad at me for doing so and not come back. All of a sudden all the pieces came together and I realized how people had cut and sliced me up before (not literally) of course. This was the dawning of a new era where my job wasn’t fixing and pleasing everyone around me but looking in my own mirror as well. It will not be an easy battle to win but at least I hit the floor and am now ready for a new journey leaving some of the pleasing behind.
