All individuals of groups should take pride in the group they belong to. Individuals of other groups should also accept what these ethnic groups have brought to society as a whole. Yet this doesn’t mean one should cover up the mistakes that were made in the groups name just balance it with the good that was accomplished at the time period noted. We don’t need to degrade another group to have room for pride in our group. Having such a prospectus in one’s life allows the individual to conquer some difficult problems that are occuring now, knowing that their ancestors did so in the past.
