As the debate between what the punishment for Roseanne Barr and Samantha Bee’s punishment for their ugly remarks should be I added the most egregious example of hateful speech today Louis Farrakhan Jr. and logic provided the answer I needed. For although there is no doubt that Farrakhan’s abuse is way behind those others mentioned he is not on a television show where punishment can be obtained. His evil remarks are not being sponsored by some advertising brand and or private funds. That is why his evil speech continues with no reciprocity but there should be some for those politicians who continue to listen.
FOOTNOTE- I don’t believe Roseanne Barr or Samantha Bee should lose their jobs for their ugly words but given a different punishment (couseling, fine, etc) . If such a pattern continues then of course this punishment should be adopted.
