They stole this (see attached) idea from my head!  Yes the idea “appeared” to come in my head last night while this has been around a bit longer but I emphasize” appeared”. For I’m sure it was a dream I had years before they even thought about it and somehow it leaked from my head.  Maybe it doesn’t make sense to you but I want it to make sense for me so that’s what I’m going to think. I could have made millions if only I had gone with this idea before …. it actually came to me.

I’ve decided to tell the world some wonderful memories of me and mom before they fade from my mind. While others wait to tell their loved one’s about their special moments after they’ve departed from this place I’ve decided it’s best to share when you’re all here.  So here are a few select memories that have stood out in my life. Don’t worry other loved one’s your day in the sun is coming soon as well.

(1) ALIENS- Not literally one’s in the sky but the movie we watched and jumped out at all the right moments. Always check why you have an upset stomach.

(2) ONE LEFT- While I was being attacked from all sides one person has stood up especially in my youth to try and see it my way. Mom you have great vision.

(3) NEWSPAPER DELIVERY MOM- When the weather got to wet Mom was sure to make sure the newspapers and I didn’t even as gas prices rose. Thank you mom.

(4) WORRIED- It takes an incredibly special person who is more worried about how others are treated then themselves and often this woman in found in you mom.

(5) FUN- Mom you are always ready to get the party rolling and even share an extra drink to make sure this occurs.

(6) MACHO- Pushing dad to bring Macho the dog into our life made my youth much more bearable. For dogs aren’t just man’s best friend but lonely children’s as well.

(7) 1980’S CHICKEN- I never full understood the recipe but it worked as did all the family food recipes.

(8) INDIVIVIDUAL CHOICE- You made sure at every family dinner growing up that we all got exactly what we wanted to drink from t Orange, Apple and Grape to the Veggies we left behind.

(9) (9) ALASKA-   Me and my wife wouldn’t have enjoyed the cruise of a lifetime if you wouldn’t have insisted I go with your financial & emotional support.

I’m committing myself to petting my dog a bit longer. A few more pets might help lower the blood pressure and allow us both to live a bit longer as well as happier. It is true I might be a bit later in my life’s work but at least I will have lived knowing I put my hands to a good use if not wet use. Stop licking me!! Well I guess one more lick is okay as well.

If G-D decides it’s time to take me home or it appears the bus is starting to move and I’m unable physical or mentally to tell you what I desire I hope these notes will come true.

(1) EXPERIMENTAL TREATMENT-  I do not want to be burden on my loved ones in either deciding it’s time to be with G-D or keeping me plugged in therefore I ask that any and all experimental treatments be used to try to keep me here in some way. To the point of water treatment where my body is submerged into running lake water or Chocolate (I will still probably love) to somehow restore me to life.

(2) PRIVATE NURSE-  I don’t want to burden my family with undue expenses in my final moments yet want to live as far as I can go so a private nurse maybe shared with another might be the best way to go…literally.

(3)FUNERAL-  I ask that my hats be led in but my body be kept in a separate ventaliated room so all including Kohen’s can pay their respect and say what they want.

(4) TIME-   I’m sorry but I don’t want an exact hour for the service to end but want an encore for those who might want to say or sing a word or two.

(5) MONIES-  I hope to have a formal will but if somehow it becomes lost or confused I’d like to make sure monies are divided annually over-time so they can accumulate even if I’m not here. Of course helping them with any tax burdens that might occur on my passing as well. Plus charitable contributions I hope to set up.

(6) LIFE-  Every 10 years there should be sometype of celebration which should be loads of fun for all those who participate in it and even a few tears.

(7) VIDSTONE– I’d like a vidstone with words from the blog, pictures of me with loved ones and moments that were truly special.

Today was the toughest day to observe my Kohen roots for the tradition divided me from my family.  A Kohen is related to Aaron, Moses’s brother and is such has a special religious role as well as restrictions one of them is not to be in contact with the dead except immediate family. My wonderful Aunt is not considered immediate family by religious authority and as such I was not permitted to go to the funeral or grave site even though she was also my mother’s identical twin. While I observed this faithful pattern the other Kohen’s in the family didn’t honor this tradition which I felt might put a barrier between the faith and my family. Thank G-D this didn’t occur as I worked to do whatever I could in order to show that I truly cared deeply and felt their pain. Whether it be helping set up the Shiva, purchasing items for those who couldn’t eat otherwise or just being an extra warm hand when a cold wind passed it was great to be able to assist in some way.   Faith can create barriers to some but my family found a way for us reach over those barriers with love and greater understanding.

My mind drifts along the small details as it FLYS to the BIG PICTURE.  The details of how, when, where can be overshadowed by the WHAT & WHY?  It’s the vision in my head that allows me to see the BIG PICTURE even if takes many smaller pictures to get there.  Maybe that’s why some of the pictures are still just hanging in my head waiting for others who can draw the details to help bring them to a heartbeat.

As I attend my Aunt’s funeral at a timely age of 86 I realize it’s still never the right time so enjoy the good times today.  Go for your dreams before you’re eyes shut either for the night or a longer period of time. Never have a doubt of what could have been or should have been but do what you can to “TRY”!   You may believe others might judge you for your losses and wins but the ultimate judge will decide by how many times you get up to the plate not the score at the end of the game.  So make today the right time because you never know when this rollercoaster will stop before you reach the top.
