Art of course is in the eye of the beholder but I’m sure that beholder wants others to look at it with envy eye’s. What would you pay to feel that you are on top only to be taken day when the next auction ups the ante? Or is it a piece you just have to add to your collection because stocks and bonds are getting a bit boring as an investment? Art is supposed to shock the establishment but it continues to be put in their collections. It’s a strange paradox that causes one to think is the art shocking anymore or just the price tag?
