Not this holy but maybe it has it’s own holiness. For 
holey socks might just possess the vents we need as we build a few too many bridges about ourselves. They can give us a certain perspective that even if think we possess it all there are still some great missing pieces only G-D can fill in. It might be uncomfortable for a day not two (they start to smell) but maybe for those who start to think they have it all will help them realize the gaps they need to work on to be a better person, the most important material one needs to possess.
