Get Out is a fine psychological thriller that I would be satisfied if it won best picture of the year against it’s opponents but that only is because Annabelle 2 is not in the running. While “Get Out” has a moment or two of fear it is nothing compared to “Annabelle 2”. Anabelle 2 also has a better soundtrack, foley and overall better acting so why wasn’t it chosen instead of “Get Out”? It probably has to with the script content for “Get Out” is a bit more original and a lot more politically correct. Where the “white characters” happen to be the wrong people and the PC message is loud and clear. “Get Out” is a great film that deserves it’s moment in the sun but I’m afraid that a bit of the sun is blinded by the PC crowd in Hollywierd.
*** 1/2 GET OUT- Overall great movie yet a bit more character development would have added another 1/2 star.
