Some are slaves already even if they aren’t wearing chains. They continue to make poor decisions that have enslaved them into a life that only destroys themselves as well as those they love. That is why I wonder if such individuals should be shackled into what some would call slavery but I call indentured servitude. These individuals would work the fields, build the railroads, or do some menial task from morning till night until they have truly cleaned up their act. Instead of the tax payers paying billions keeping these individuals behind bars they would produce millions helping society and getting their life’s back in order. This slavery would not be based on religion, race or creed but poor decisions which have already shackled such individuals. After they’ve served this time maybe then they will understand and appreciate freedom a bit more and make the decisions to stay free and clean for the rest of their life.
