As I watch the trailer after seeing the film “War Of the Planet of The Apes” I wonder what was I watching. The film had so many moments that were so much slower then the pace with which this trailer would have led you to believe. The film also had hole’s in it that didn’t allow you to fully suspend one’s disbelief and missed it’s emotional key hitting a few flat keys instead. I also noticed a scene where the lighting was so off that I couldn’t escape into the reality of what I was watching. Yet overall it was a fine picture worth seeing ….on T.V.
** 1/2 – If you’re a die hard Ape fan add a 1/2 star more.
