Carnegie’s world view and the world view I live in are as opposite as Peanut Butter & Jelly. Where Jelly is nice and sweet Peanut Butter is harsh and can get me sick. I always try to add Jelly to my dishes but Peanut Butter is never to far from the plate. Dale Carnegie believes in the Jelly principle as I fill my cup to the lid only to find out someone has spilled 1/2 of it. Yes it’s important principals to give compliments, avoid criticism and look for the bait that will influence people but it’s too bad that many just leave them on the chalk board. Even this post goes against the principals Mr. Carnegie holds dear for as much as I try to buy his Jelly someone always seems to bring a can of Peanut Butter.
