The alarm keeps ringing even though it is shut off in my ears. Just when I think I’ve pressed the button it continues to play over and over again. Is it the ringing of guilt that penetrates my bones and very soul that I hear? Or could it be that heart that was supposed to stop beating? All I know is it won’t give me any rest whether my eyes are closed or wide open in bloody fear!
