As time passes by we wait for many others to keep pace with us. The challenge then becomes is it better to wait or push? If we push they might push back and nothing will be gained but if we wait life might pass us by. The decision in business is much easier because truly time is money but in the leisurely life this challenge can be more difficult to discern. Here are a few factors (below) you might consider.
(1) How important is the activity to the group vs to you?
(2) Can the activity be done at another day which is close to your schedule?
(3) How much grief vs pleasure will you receive from pushing others to go at your pace?
(4) Can you deal with the short term anger you receive (especially from children and those with attitudes as such) vs the long term gain the group will gain?
(5) Is there an activity you personally enjoy as much as the group activity you planned and as such will be happy with your choice?
