To fight for justice or let it go?

Justice 2

Justice is not only blind but can be painfully slow.  It can take months and even years to insure that justice is done and of course at a great financial and personal cost to those who seek it.  So how do you decide whether it’s worth to battle on or just let it go?Here are a few factors (below) I would consider in my decision.

(1) Will others benefit from your fight? Will your action defer bad behavior from those in power ? Keep up the fight!

(2) Have others joined in a similar battle and can you combine legal actions. Then fight you must!

(3) Is this truly about revenge and is this battle consuming your life at the point of hurting loved ones and yourself? Maybe it’s best to let it go.

(4) Can you afford the battle in financial as well personal costs? Will this battle be to painful if you are suffering from a stress related medical problem or could you be let go from your position because of time you are missing from work?

(5) Do you truly have a strong case and a determined advocate in your corner? If you can’t present your case in a convincing way maybe it’s best to let it go or plan better before you launch your attack.

Running for office

running for office

BUT IF MY UNCLE ….

Don’t worry I haven’t  decided to seek public service… yet.  Many conditions would have to be just right for me to make such an important decision including I would have to have at least one other supporter and it can’t be the four legged type.  What this post concerns is how I would actually run if those conditions were met. I don’t mean do disparage the political consultant because they have the expertise and knowledge that I lack but I believe it’s more important to get you’re message  out and truly be a public servant then worrying about winning the race at all cost.

If I sought public service I would truly run and expect everyone on the campaign team to keep up with me.  That means this would be my full time job in which every moment would be utilized for this goal and I would expect my core staff to agree. I would also need a staff that told it like they saw it but when a decision was made act like it was their idea no matter what. Here are a few more key factors (below) that would belong to my campaign.

(1) Thank even the smallest contributor or even those that just support the campaign regularly and personally by me or a core member of my staff. Insure that I keep a list of each one of those supporters and get them involved in the campaign as much as they are capable of doing.

(2) Visit various locations in one community then move to next community making sure that I stop by the “hot spots” and listen.

(3) Every Saturday visit a Shul/Synagogue and every Sunday visit a Church followed by a volunteer activity in that community.

(4) Insure that I take the time not only with the friendly press but those that oppose my views and try to find some common ground without changing my philosophy.

(5) On Thursday night visit a local bar and share a beer or wine with those attending.

(6) Have fun and show it. It’s important to take the position seriously without putting yourself to high on the pedestal.

(7) Pull out not only the skeletons but the bodies from the closet early so people can see me for who I am not the character the opposition media might betray.

(8) Have honest answers to the problems people are facing be empathetic  with their pain  and  most important always listen.

Elections & Expectations

#Election in Crimea, #Ukraine, #Elections

As expected Crimea voted for secession from the Ukraine and even though I’m fairly confident that the elections results were tilted in one direction I wouldn’t be surprised if the majority still voted for succession, but not for the reason you might assume.  I’m sure some people wanted to be part of the Russian Federation but I believe most of the votes went in that direction because of momentum and fear.  Whether it’s the election in Crimea or anywhere else voters may vote the way “they are expected”. Here are some of the reasons why (below)?

(1) WINNING TEAM- People will feel like they’re part of the winning team if they vote for the candidate that is expected to win. These individuals might feel like they are part of the “In Crowd” by voting with they assume is the majority.   How many of us cheer for the underdog when they are really down?

(2) FEAR- Although people might believe their vote is secret they still worry it might come out and that they could lose benefits if they have voted “the wrong way”.

(3) BENEFITS-Those who actively support the winning candidate expect to receive benefits for that support.

So close but yet so far….

elevator

In life we are only moments away from making strangers acquaintances and from making those acquaintance  friends. Yet that moment may end in an instant never to be seen again. How many times do we go in and elevator and forget to say hello to the person next to us? How many times have you gone to a Hibachi Restaurant and enjoyed the meal with strangers but never knew who they were? Sometimes we live our life in a protective bubble unwilling to get to know those who are right around us.  How many acquaintances and friends have we lost before we even found them because we kept our mouth closed instead of welcoming another?

Could the President resign and still win?

Posted by Bruce - in Blog, Political - No Comments

Here is a political scenario that G-D willing would never come to fruition but is it possible?

Obama 3rd term

It’s 2015 and the Republicans have won control of the House and the Senate, the effects of Obama care have finally had their devastating  impact on the economy, Russia has took over the entire Ukraine and now is looking to Estonia, while China has taken over the Senakaku Islands at this time the Obama Administration decides to resign and Speaker Boehner becomes President.  The situation is so dire that no administration could get a handle on it until the Presidential election of 2016. The public turns on the Republican Party because they are the Party in Control and therefore former President Obama seeks to run in 2016 which is  determined to be legal because the Supreme Court decides  he didn’t complete his 2nd term.  The media jumps to his side and ….

FAITH HEALING UPDATE- PLEASE OBSERVE THAT THESE NOTES ARE RATHER SCATTERED BECAUSE THEY ARE “ROUGH” BUT WILL BE FORMULATED UPON FURTHER RESEARCH.

Jewish Faith Healing

I’ve decided to pursue a study in “Jewish Faith Healing” because it’s something that could truly come in handy. This pursuit will start later today and consist of standard research as well as deeper research which might involve purchasing items and traveling to various locations. This journey might be something that ends fairly shortly or continues throughout my lifetime. I hope to update my discoveries with you on a regular basis in case this becomes helpful in your own daily life or of your loved ones. Please note I will be throwing pieces of information on the wall in all different directions so you can pick and choose to explore the information as you deem important in your life. Once I’ve completed my initial research I will come up with some personal notes on this information but will continue to search and then from time to time add to that thesis. I LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS DURING THIS EXPLORATION.

2/23/2014- It appears that many of the notes I have taken have been accidently deleted I will try to restore them ASAP-From Jewish Science-Divine Healing in Judiasm by Alfred Geiger Moses. Mr. Moses claims that Jewish Science will fill a gap because it shows the art of genuine prayer in it’s real influence on everyday life. The religion of Jewish Science is based on several principles which I summarize below.

(1) Body is a creation of all wise and good G-D

(2) Sickness is violation of the laws of nature

(3) Health depends largely on the use of the body by individuals or the misuse or abuse which brings upon sickness.

(4) Worry, anxiety and similar states cause physical weakness and impairment. Good cheer and optimism promotes well being.

(5) Faith or religion is the highest form of optimism. Therefore religious faith heals & fights sickness.

(6) Religion in all forms has been the chief means of bring about cheerfulness and optimism.

(7) Hash-m is absolutely good.

(8) Prayers and devotion to heal sick.

(9) Therefore Jewish Science should play a large role in healing the sick.

Subconscious mind more effective than the pure idea of faith.

Jewish healing has occurred in the Torah through prophets such as Moses, Elijah, Elisha, Isiah, and Jeremiah.

Serve G-D with a cheerful and happy mind. Sadness and sorrow darken the soul. By constant communion, one may acquire the gift of prophesy and become Zadik. Chasidism was very popular in early day.
Positive convictions- Health & Happiness – drives out every thought that disturbs body or mind.

In the tents of Israel the spiritual truth has been taught that the ills of the flesh and the sins of the soul can be overcome by the divine power of prayer and good deeds
Two principals have contended in spiritual life- Law vs the Spirit
Meshanneh- Hasshem- “The change of name”- Those that are suffering could be saved from death. The “Angel of Death” would be confused. This would occur at the end of a regular service. The author performed this act on an individual first named Rebecca and changed to Ruth. Moses claims to have witnessed her healing.
EXODUS 15-22-26 – Sickness removed by serving G-D
NUMBER 12- Moses prays for Miriam to be healed from Leprosy
KINGS CHAPTER 17 8-24- Elijah by faith heals widows son.
And he cried unto the Lord. And he stretched upon the child 3 times and said “O Lord my G-D I pray there let this child soul come into him again”.
KINGS 4 8-37 Elisha by faith heals son
He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them twain and prayed unto the lord. And he went up and lay upon the child and put his mouth upon his mouth and his eyes upon his eyes and his hands upon his hands and he stretched himself upon him and the flesh of the child warmed. Then he returned and walked in the house once to and fro and went up and stretched himself upon him and the child sneezed seven times and the child opened his eyes.
JEREMAIH 17 12-17
Heal me O Lord and I shall be healed save me and I shall be saved for thou art my praise .

MAGIC OF HEBREW CHANT by Rabbi Shefa Gold

Chanting helps to create habits that lead to peace and express themselves as love
