You’re to nice a guy and they’re walking over you as if you were a place mat, then it’s time to “RENT A BITCH”. For the weather to start this wonderful season is cold and frosty. Well maybe G-D decided to start the season a day later because tomorrow will feel like Spring again … I hope but just in case I’ll leave the Galoshes in the closet.
The Fox News Network has now become the Fox Donald Network where almost every political news story starts with a D= Donald and ends with a T =Trump. It is if the campaign is already over before we even get to the juicy details. While it is true that Mr. Trump has 678 delegates and Cruz has 423 if we add Kasich’s 143 and Rubio’s 164 to Cruz’s account he would be winning and in a contested convention many will go his way. This is also without considering the upcoming races where if this news coverage was some what fair Cruz will be taking (G-D willing my bias) a substantial bite out of them. It is also true that Donald Trump is a newsworthy character no matter what is going on but the news should consider it’s responsibility to not make the news stories as if it was “Extra” but as if it is truly fair and balanced.
Hulk Hogan has won a case that should allow individuals the right to privacy in a bedroom. No person should fear that things they do or say in private will be released to the press through video or audio without their consent unless that is a person running to serve the “public good”. The $115 million dollar award to Hulk Hogan will surely be reduced when it is appealed, yet the legacy it leaves in the press is something that I believe will change treatment of “celebrities” far into the future.
What are those from the 1 % of society looking for with their candidate? I’m sure that there is a group that enjoy the power their wealth brings and want to continue to wield it but I believe the majority who have achieved financially success have a deeper purpose. They might want tax cuts to help their businesses but they might tax cuts in general to help the small business get off the ground. It is true that some will want to make deals with foreign countries to grow their market but it is also true that most of these individuals seek to expand wealth, freedom and opportunity to that world as well. Many more individuals in the 99 % will seek government to do something for them (especially those in the lower income levels) instead of trying to find a way out for themselves. Those that have had financially success will seek to bring a legacy to their name through funding institutions that benefit us all (Charitable Institutions, Universities etc) for although they have achieved success for themselves it is not enough. I believe it’s time we stop degrading such wealth but celebrate it and the individuals that have achieved it for they are only a private plane away to a place that will.
Basic Judaism accepts that the path of the “Orthodox” observers is right but that doesn’t mean it’s the only path. The path for any Jew should be based on the Torah and the wise teachings from the Talmud but that doesn’t mean that this is the end. For without observing the world today these books become ancient to many of the faith. Here’s a good example, those who are traditional will not write on Shabbos because it is considered a “work activity” but too many today this activity has more to do with leisure and expressing themselves then any form of work. I’m one such individual who feels Shabbos is the time that one can ponder and think about deep issues but if one doesn’t write it down then it soon will be forgotten. Even if one is against writing with the standard instrument of a pencil writing on a computer or with a newer device might be seen as an alternative. When you’re dealing with an obnoxious or annoying person it’s best to play their subconscious especially after they speak. For example if they complain about some minor incident as you calmly walk away you say “because I’m a Jerk who has no taste or class”. If they are high on themselves you can have that similar walk and respond in their subconscious voice “boy do I feel like an idiot but nobody notices”. Playing their subconscious voice can help you deal with the annoying conscious life without entering a new job or a new home with bars.
