Chocolate Review- Plus my review

* 1/2  Vita Organic Goji Chocolate is one of the worst premium chocolates I’ve had. The chocolate flavor has a flowery taste with too much of any emphasis on the Goji and not enough on producing a quality product.  Too insure that my mood (below) didn’t have an impact on the review I had a piece of Divine Dark Chocolate and thoroughly enjoyed that flavor

** 1/2 MY MOOD- Last night my stomach hurt and it was a difficult day at the office.  Upon my return home though everything fell back in order. There is a possibility that  there was some residual effects from my earlier experiences but not enough to truly effect my review.

Cookie that you dream about.

insomnia 4

I’ve eaten this cookie over a month ago but I can’t get the flavor out of my head. It was soft where it needed to be yet crispy in the ends where a cookie should be. The chips were semi sweet and enough to leave their delicious marks on your hands and face. What truly separated Insomnia Cookie from the rest is it was served nice and warm but not burning hot.   “Insomnia Cookie” warning it will keep you up just dreaming about your next one.

Sixteen Handles Fro Yo is the Hot Chocolate that chocolate lovers have dreamed about. Every sip is full of thick delicious flavor that leaves other hot chocolates in the cold. The flavor is enhanced with a hint of vanilla and is creamy enough to leave a lingering taste in your mouth that last way after your first sip.  So the next time it snows bring some warmth and taste into your body with “Fro Yo” Hot chocolate found at Sixteen Handles.

Best Iced Coffee yet.

bolthouse farms

“Bolthouse Farms  Mocha Cappuccino” is the best iced coffee I’ve ever tasted. I know technical it’s Cappuccino not coffee but with 100 % Arabica Coffee I’m putting it in my coffee aisle.  It’s smooth and creamy with the real taste of  Arabian coffee that you don’t find in the competitors brand.  The sweetness comes from Agave Nector and Cane Sugar not the artificial flavors that many of the competition has. These artificial sugars, that so many others carry, either overpower the coffee flavor or leave you with an aftertaste that lingers and lingers.  What is also amazing is the drink is actually good for you (relatively) with 100 % Vitamin C & B6 among other nutrients.  Yet you  don’t buy this for the nutritional value or price (it’s fairly expensive) instead it’s the wonderful taste that makes Bolthouse Farms “Mocha Cappuccino” my new morning favorite.

Might be the best….

chocolate Mexicano

” Chocolat Mexicano Super Dark ” might be the best chocolate I’ve ever eaten. The flavor is truly original with the nutty flavor you receive from a Theo chocolate but with rough edge that showcases the poignant flavor.  The chocolate is 85% but there still is a natural sweetness that seeps through. The biggest drawback is the flavor doesn’t leave a long time impact as do other chocolates I’ve eaten. Therefore “Chocolat Mexicano” is my favorite chocolate for the moment but will see if it can hold on to my tongue for the long run

Your choice restaurant.

Moe's Southwest Grill

Restaurants such as Subway, Salad Works and especially Moe’s insure that you are the one to credit or blame.  For in these restaurants you truly decide to have it your way. From the breads you choose to the condiments on top if you don’t like it complain to yourself. Of course a bad tomato or olive that is in your selection isn’t your fault but should one miscue destroy your entire meal? Moe’s has taken it a step further by allowing you over 100 varieties of drinks to chose from. For example there are eight varieties of Coca Cola products from Vanilla Coke to Raspberry Coke (not a good choice) to plain original flavor.  Now when you choose a restaurant you also have to decide who you want the credit for the meal to go to.

*** 1/2 Moe’s Southwest Grill in Nanuet NY. This time I chose well great fresh food, a wonderful staff and fair priced. If only I picked the Vanilla Coke though.

Medicine Soday

belvoir Orangic

What Smelling Salt does for a boxer “Belvoir Organic Ginger Beer” does for the rest of us.  The smell of pure Ginger is enough to startle your senses and the taste well let’s just a sip is enough. I’m really not sure if it’s a drink or medicine either way I’d take my temperature after that shot because it will cure you or make you sick.

“Kosher Copies”

MallomarsLET’S START HERE

Isn’t it time that those who practice “Kashrut law” truly get to enjoy the great tastes that are out there? “Kosher Copies” will turn that dream into reality.  Top Culinary experts will be assembled to duplicate the flavors of some of the most popular “Non Kosher” items and bring them to the Kosher Aisle. From the great taste of Bacon, Pepperoni to Mallomars, their are taste that should and could be duplicated. Truth be told these were tastes that I enjoyed before I became “Kosher Style” and I believe that these are tastes that even the strictest follower of Kashrut law would enjoy as well. “Kosher Copies” would give them the opportunity to taste these wonderful flavors without worrying about “stealing the bacon” .

My Bipolar Beer

dog fish

“Dogfish Head Palo Sant Marron” is a beer that I’m not sure if I like. The color and aroma hit me on the positive side but the slightly bitter taste on the back of the tongue pulls me in the opposite direction. I can tell it’s a serious beer for those who enjoy  a variety of  flavors with every sip but I wonder am I this or more whimsical. I must say that the flavor is growing on me as I continue to sip it or maybe it’s the 12 % the alcohol content.  Either way I’ve decided at least for this moment that I like it.

Super foods

I’ll be trying this bar as well (below).  If I keep up with these “Superfoods” eventually I’m going to have to buy a cape that is unless I don’t look both ways before crossing the street. I don’t believe any food will save me from a speedy truck.
