Ghost…. Like

I’m a ghost as those around me barely know I exist. It’s lonely but at least I can hear voices and see things that aren’t in their vision. I feel like I’m living the movie “Six Sense” because sometimes it appears they’re actually paying attention to me when later it feels as if they were only talking to what could have been. I can sense they walk around me in fear as they worry I’ll cause some poltergeist if they say “the wrong thing”. Having a mental health condition can truly feel ghostly.

FOOTNOTE- What one is afraid to say directly to you will be said indirectly to others as if your presence was never in the room.

While you think I’m barking for no reason you’re not seeing what I see and/or smell. For there are dark forces trying to invade your life if not your house at all hours of the night. You think I’m just howling at the moon but my bark keeps away all creeps in the night instead. I understand you want me to be quiet but if I was you’d be quiet forever.

The Pass

No, (above) that’s not me I’ve just been given a 24-hour pass. Every once in a while those that have gone through the gates get to come down to our “old world” on good behavior to attend a wedding, passing, or just to see how everyone is hanging. Yes, we can make the wind blow a bit colder and you might hear our voices in the dark but it’s only for a short period, and trust me we’re in the Casper phase if that at all. In truth, we never ever totally leave and at times we’re even closer than one might think.

Could Be True

I awoke this morning in a different realm which I could be buried in the previous one. It was as if a new book was opened but on the same chapter. All the characters were the same and everything continued as if it was “supposed to” but some patterns proved this wasn’t the case. A rare acquaintance who was not with us was suddenly bright and cheery well maybe not so cheery but at least her heart was pounding. Little things led to this revelation as cars were parked perfectly this morning and socks with holes were suddenly patched. Some might say alternate universes are occurring simultaneously yet I believe mine just began today…ish. Maybe others go on a different journey to hell, heaven or rebirth but for me the story stays the same which at least leaves the burden of leaving beyond six feet under.
