For “Toy’s R Us” to succeed it must take on the Amazon’s of the world with hands and fingers.  Amazon and other internet sales will always be able to beat a price here or there but they can’t allow the consumer to actually touch or play with the products before hand.  Here’s are a few solutions (below) that will keep them in the ball and it starts with a bounce.

(1) PLAY STATIONS- Have a section of the store where young children can get to know the products first hand even if there is a token fee or time limit for such enjoyment. This could also be a free station where parents could drop off one children(s) so they could look for other products for the rest of the family and not be inundated for other suggestions.

(2) ADULT STATIONS- There would be a teen and more adult section for those games geared to those who want to enjoy their leisurely time as well. This section would allow one to try out a game as the play station above would.

(3) FREE SAMPLES-  Look at Post It Pads history to determine how free samples can make the difference.

(4)  CHILDREN’S PARTIES-  How many children would love to have a party in a toy store and with the added benefit of special coupons for guests it will surely bring in more business.

(5)  MOVIE NIGHT- Host special premiere movies and have all the paraphernalia around for such a screening.
