As the Peace Officers try to keep “order” in these difficult times of restrain maybe “smell control” is the agent they should consider. Noxious smells are offensive but are not deadly though they smell that way. Yet these odors will definitively have people disperse especially if it stays on their clothes. Trust me most would rather be hit with a baton then  a Skunk or Sulfur Dioxide aroma.  This could also be used as prison punishment rather then long periods of isolation. Smell control might just be the force we need to maintain order even if it doesn’t smell that way.
