For the 1st two hours of the Irishman you’re blown away with the talent you see on the screen but as with any great thing too much becomes just okay. If they cut this film down to 2 hours you would have left feeling that you might have wanted a bit more and that’s fine because the next bite would have been too much of a good thing or way too predictable/slow. It’s great to see Al Pacino at the top of his game again and even though me & Mr. De Niro might not be on the same political stage he’s awesome on the film stage. Joe Pesci shows the incredible diversity of his talent as he plays the cool, calm character that we’ve never seen before and Martin Scorsese put’s it all together like know one else could. A formula that works just right for 2 strong hours but needs to know when to end just as the blog piece does as well.
