I’m not one to scream but “THE” left a permanent mark on me.  The night was scary enough with a lightning storm that appeared to approach my house with a vibration that shook my very bones. To make matters worse suddenly the lights went out and my loved one was gone on a business trip in a cell-free zone. The dogs wouldn’t stop barking as if there was some demonic force about to enter.  I told myself that I could handle this situation though I was miles away from any source of light until …’THE”.   I somehow survived “THE” but living with this fear is something I may never escape.
